Re: Accessories for PCX www.powerbyPCX.com
There are certain aspects of this PCX that I like but the colour scheme needs breaking up a bit. A black seat with black elsewhere hereandthere would help. All chrome/silver is, in my view, way too much. That's why I'm not letting my PCX stay all black, and will add small bits of chrome just to make...

Re: When's the new esp PCX out in the UK?
My dealer hadn't heard anything about it at all. I don't think it will be too long before it comes out though.

Re: Gap Insurance.....worth it?
I understand what you are getting at but can I just clarify that the quote was £199 for 3 years and not £200 for one year. You are, of course, correct in saying there will be small print. Insurance companies don't enjoy paying out.

Re: Gap Insurance.....worth it?
The thing is, say midway through year 2 my PCX is stolen. My fully comp will pay me full market value (let's say £1600). A brand new PCX will cost by then around £2700. I'll need £1100 at least to cover the cost of a new PCX or go down the 'used' route. I may well be able to pick up a minter at that...

Re: Gap Insurance.....worth it?
You're probably right. I might shop around and see how much cheaper I can get it. It does seem a lot when you consider they are just 'topping up' any payout and not the whole amount.

Gap Insurance.....worth it?
My dealer offered me Gap insurance today, which means that I will get the full replacement value of a PCX for up to 3 years (as opposed to current market value) Has anybody taken this option? I was quoted £199 for three years which is obviously £66.33 per annum) My PCX will be living outside under a...

Re: First impressions
I got the 125 Eddie. Had I hung on a little I would have got the newer engine too but I'm not too bothered as this little scooter is brilliant for it's size. I had a Yamaha RXS100 a while back and though that was a good commuter I think I will have more fun on the PCX. I got half a tank of fuel so w...

First impressions
I picked up my new PCX about 3 hours ago. I had a 29 mile ride home from my dealer via an industrial area and then mostly country lanes. I was quietly impressed with the performance of the machine. Being an ex-biker I felt it a little odd not having to reach for the clutch when coming to a stop but ...

Re: Came of last night
Hear hear! Glad you're (mostly) okay mate. The PCX can always be fixed. Your flesh & bones are far more important. You can now get on with the task of getting the PCX you really want. (1st dibs on the nlack tailpiece please :-) )

Thank you, that's just what I needed to know. All in all, a quality piece of kit it would seem.

Re: Tucano Urbano Termoscud
My commute will be (I pick my new PCX up on Friday) 30 miles along quiet country lanes. I will be fitting one of these (with bar muffs) in time for winter. Can you tell me what the situatuation is once seated on the PCX please? How do you secure the cover while in the riding position, and have you h...

Re: Hello everyone
Well duive01 you're probably not the only Ham-fisted person on these forums. I have been watching the 'Valve clearance' thread hereabouts and just know that if I were to attempt this service procedure all I would be left with is a pile of nuts & bolts and plastic bodywork with no idea how to put...

Re: Hello everyone
Indeed the exhaust looks much better. I will get the little endpiece for the outlet too. There's no rush. As for the ignition switch cover, I was just thinking of protecting the lock from the elements. However it would seem that fitting that cover would mean replacing the existing cover on the other...

Re: Hello everyone
duive01, I had an F650CS-the belt driven model. A lovely bike if a tad ugly duckling. But it's riding position began to hurt my old knees and hence wasn't being ridden.

Hello gn2, I may have got the wrong end of the stick about the Honda topbox plate not requiring drilling. I must've misunderstood a post on one of the forums. I've just checked the order form for my bike and the extras are: 1xHonda monolock plate - £25.00 1xE300 - £49.00 1xHonda clear screen - £41.0...

Re: Hello everyone
Thanks for the welcome. Yes it's true that I can't wait to pick my PCX up. I could have had it this week but the guy in the dealer isn't back from the IOM TT races until Friday and that didn't work with my shifts. I have a long weekend from the 15th so decided to arrange delivery/hand over then. I h...

Re: Hello everyone
I'm downsizing from a BMW F650 and am really excited about entering the world of Twist n' Go simplicity. I could have done with the PCX last night as I was called into work at the last minute and had to use my truck to get in. Nearly 3 gallons of diesel v half a gallon of unleaded is a no-brainer. B...

Hello everyone
Just a quick hello (though I have been on the ClubPCX forum for a while). Hopefully I shall pick up my new PCX on Friday 15th June. It's a black model and I have ordered it to come with a bigger screen and Honda topbox (not too sure but I think this avoids drilling unlike the Givi) I hope to add bit...
