^ Right foot on the lever, left leg on the ground, naturally. I only use my hands forcibly when lifting my Vespa PX on its center stand. The PX has no lever. With the PX, my right leg holds the left-side stand in place to prevent it from sliding on the ground. There's a video on Youtube on the subje...

Not really. The secret of doing it right is: take your right leg and step firmly on the trigger. It will come up almost with no effort. Hands are only needed to hold it upright while you're at it.

Most Youtube videos are allowed to be embedded. The Youtube clip in this case cannot be watched embedded, sorry about that.

Re: Center Stand Woes - YouTube Clip
Lesson learned: never ever go and touch another man's bike or scooter. Even if you know what you're doing. Chances are you just don't know. My Vespa PX 200 was in someone's way and it was lifted by the front rack onto the side walk to let a car to be parked in its place. The front rack is not stable...

Re: is the pcx150 the same as a sh150i motor
The new Honda SH125 Mode looks identical down to the transmission block. I'm surprised to see that they modified the swingarm for the SH150i ABS but not here. Confusing. http://www.shmode.com/en/img/mode/big/gallery-big-0.png http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/45/Honda_PCX150_2013...

Re: is the pcx150 the same as a sh150i motor
I'm sorry if I was unclear. I was not talking about the slip-on exhaust. I ignored that part completely. I thought that maybe you there over the big pond don't know that the SH150 has been redesigned and now uses the same engine as the PCX -- for the most parts. That's why I started to elaborate. Th...

Re: is the pcx150 the same as a sh150i motor
Here's an article about the new SH150i. It claims that the SH150 has more power. Judging by the photos the rear suspension is attached further back and the airbox is different. The wheelbase is 1315 mm (PCX150) / 1340 mm (SH150). http://www.moto-choice.com/en/Bike-Review/263/honda-sh-150i-esp-abs-20...

Re: is the pcx150 the same as a sh150i motor
To say they are "completely different" is a gross overstatement. They used to be but not anymore. Northern America lags behind when it comes to new scooters. You will probably get the new chassis and engine later. There might arise some minor problems when doing a complete engine swap but ...

Re: is the pcx150 the same as a sh150i motor
The current European SH150 shares the same engine with the PCX 150. So, the answer is yes, if we are talking about the new SH150 introduced in 2013. The SH150 even has the same silent start and idling stop mechanism. For 2013, the SH 125 and 150 were completely overhauled. http://world.honda.com/SH1...

I think most of them are BV200's (198cc). There's an occasional 250 or 300 in the photo. Wikipedia has some nice pics in the same league: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2d/RNC_04_protest_52.jpg/800px-RNC_04_protest_52.jpg?uselang=it http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/common...

Re: Video of removing the rear wheel for brake and drum chec
A nice job and thanks for the video. It's definitely going to be easier if you put your scooter on its side stand (like you did) when trying to release the big axle nut of the rear wheel. You could use a velcro strap to lock in the rear brake handle before you start on the job. Or get somebody to he...

Re: What is your favorite BEER!?
Any decent live real ale served right from a hand or gravity operated tap with natural pressure. Happens rarely. No keg beer pasteurized, killed and carbonated comes close to a pint of fresh top-fermented British pale ale or bitter.
