Re: I hate to ask this
No you are right that it is not a guarantee but I put it down and then I test it before I get off. I work with a person that also trains the instructors for the MSF course and he says that he even uses this method outside the MSF course.

Re: I hate to ask this
Yup, I've tried to start it with the kick stand down. I never use the engine cut off because I always just use the kick stand to make sure that it's down. Although sometimes I accidentally hit the engine cutoff switch and and try to start it.
Again there is never a dumb question.

Re: Out for a short ride
Thanks I thought that the windmill would be the perfect back drop for the pictures. It's only a 5 min ride from my house. I have to say that I'm not a fan of cruisers but the color is growing on me. It is very fitting for him. He named her Fiona and he's Shrek. While I was taking a picture of the PC...

Re: New PCX 150 owner
Congrats! It is great around town but if you go on long rides I would still drive the VTX 1800 C. I hope that you enjoy the scooter experience.

Re: How Did YOU Come Up With Your PCX Name ??
Don't worry my screen name is very unimaginative as well. It's my nickname and last name. Although my scooter is My Little Pony (specifically Rainbow Dash). Next to my husbands bike I always though that it was a little pony and it stuck. Then someone asked me which one and I joked that she shoots ra...

Re: What gear do you use? (clothing)
I do wear a helmet AFX FX-50 Helmet and Teknic Women's Supervent Gloves. I usually wear a leather jacket without armor (but the other day when it 89° I didn't wear a jacket). Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any gear with armor in it to fit me other then gloves. Believe I have looked. I hav...

Re: Blessing of the Bikes; Baldwin, MI 2014
Thank you for your concern. Actually I've only had one incident on the PCX and that was because someone pulled out in front of me and cut me off. The other was forgetting to put down a kickstand on a motorcycle(solved that problem). Chances are I will probably get the Burgman 400 but I will have to ...

Re: Blessing of the Bikes; Baldwin, MI 2014
Shhhh I conveniently forgot to ask my doctor if I can ride again. Although I can't go back to work yet, I'm already back on the scooter. Actually it doesn't bother me too much to ride the scooter as long as it's a short trip. Very windy day and bumpy roads makes it hurt. I'm not a fan of the traditi...

Looks great. Had you used the plasti-dip before and how hard was it to use? How long will the plasti-dip last?

Re: Blessing of the Bikes; Baldwin, MI 2014
Awesome pictures. My husband was and I had planned on going to the Blessing of the Bikes at Starved Rock State Park in IL on March 31. Sadly it was a day too late. The day before the Hubby and I were out and for a ride. Rode about 140 miles and 3 miles from home a car came out in front of me and I w...

I learned about that the hard way as well. Hubby keep dropping them into that little hole until I plugged the hole.

Did it sound like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_hZjIBpQA0&feature=youtu.be I only had 500 miles when I had to have my belt replaced but it started making noises at about 400 miles. I took it into the dealer twice before they took it apart. In my case there was lubricate that got onto t...

Re: So, I dropped my bike. A cautionary tale.
Well when I broke my foot I was at the BRC. I did it before we started the testing otherwise it would have been an automatic fail. I thought it was just a sprang so I iced it and laced up my boots tight and took the test. I did end up failing the driving part of the test by 4 points. If I had took t...

Re: Honda TopBox on my PCX125 2014 model
I agree Whitenoise the only thing they make for Honda is a seat for the Silverwing. Since I ride one up I love the looks of the trunk not hanging off the edge of the scooter. But I'm with you JoshM on the price. You can save some money by using the original seat but that still leaves the price at $853
