Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

Haven't been out yet, going to see if it isn't raining tonight and hopefully go tonight with less cars around... been windy as hell today though! Waiting for my Stepdad (Electrician) to check my front Indicators because the ones I bought have a different end connection to what's already on the Bike....

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

No, CBT Certificates are valid for Automatic or Manual Bikes.... when my CBT expires in June/July (cant remember which) i'll go in for my full test, and then get the L-Plates off, i'll keep the MSX for awhile just to get more used to it all as I wont be riding too much in the next few months due to ...

Levers were out of stock (told me 2 days after purchasing them!) so bought another set....
also some better looking foot pegs, and the tail tidy.

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

Just put the £100 deposit down on the MSX :-) can't pay the rest until my PCX sells, or I can get to the Bank and put in my Injury Cheque (and wait for it to clear) but the Dealer said i've secured it now so it's no problem if it's kept there for awhile, but i'll 100% be paying fully for it next wee...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

The Crossbar I have on my PCX..... would that fit onto the Grom Bar? (same diameter?) Also, the Leo Vince Exhaust I got, this 100% wont go onto the Grom? i've emailed Leo Vince about it but waiting for a reply, not sure if they do pipes for the Grom... or is the Exhaust overall just too big for the ...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

Being my first manual, I wasn't going to stress too much if it had some slight wear to it as i'll obviously be concentrating more on just getting out and practicing on it.... once i've gotten used to the whole gear thing that I was hoping to then get something a bit bigger..... but yes, with my OCD ...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

Regarding the Grom, do you think it would be better to get a brand new one? or a used one?
my local Dealer is going to value my PSX on Tuesday and get some prices for a brand new one....

Re: Second Service

I got the stock Exhaust back on using the main 3 bolts, the one that was threaded went in ok without using anything but didn't do up that tight, but still seems secure with the other 2 tight. Also the rear fender that was snapped, I purchased one for £21 for Saturday delivery so when the Bike gets c...

Re: INNER FENDER HELP

lol waspmike the fenders on the MSX are massive! i've been looking at some used MSX's though and some have the tail tidys on, but we'll see....
the fact I have to get the number plate AND a l plate on the back as well, so the tail tidy would be good ;-) easy to do though.

Re: INNER FENDER HELP

Thanks WhiteNoise, but yeah, my previous 2013 model was fine, stupid Car had to drive into me though! this 2014/15 model though, been a hassle from the start, Honda Dealers not being that professional either doesn't help, i'm just hoping with the Grom they'll actually be a bit more of a help, probab...

Re: INNER FENDER HELP

I got a Bike Cover over my Bike every night, and it's got holes in the front so the chain goes through 1 and then through the wheel and out the other.... but due to some recent idiots talking about stealing Bikes in my street, I put the chain on the rear wheel, so it can be seen when walking passed ...

Re: INNER FENDER HELP

lol thanks homie...... rather annoying as obviously just paid for the Exhaust which was near £300,
plus the last 3 Services are paid for which would cost a bit as well...
so hoping I can get a decent price, plus with the grips and levers and crossbar and mirrors and decals on it,
so, fingers crossed!

Re: INNER FENDER HELP

I'd rather walk than use a Bus lol plus riding is for pleasure (supposed to be) as I work from home with my own business so it's good to get out on 2 wheels...... just a bit annoying when I get sold a Bike with an annoying issue to the point where I don't want to ride it..... and also just a stupid ...

Re: INNER FENDER HELP

Just noticed the 2 cables that slide in behind/under the airbox too!!
sod taking all that off.....
i'll buy the part and see if the Dealers can fit it,
not sure what needs doing on a Second Service,
but surely they'll be able to do this quickly wont they?
probably charge me a lot knowing them though!

INNER FENDER HELP

I snapped the inner fender on my Bike, forgot about the chain lock on the rear wheel, chain got jammed and as it went around with the wheel..... it snapped the rear inner fender, one that bolts to the back of the airbox and above the swingarm, also 2 pipes connect to it, 1 it just pushed in, but the...

Re: Yamaha MT 125

I'd of stayed with the PCX if it wasn't doing my head in! really nice looking Bikes and very nippy... just a lot going on personally and this Bike just stresses me out more, and the fact I want to start getting into gears, had a think about it and in the future I want to be able to go for long rides...
