Re: It's Electric!

Many of the Volt owners have 100,000 miles of ev operation with 0% degradation. So why did you post links to Teslas with high mileage talking about no repairs and 200,000 hard miles with only a 6% loss? You make my point. These are not high discharge hobby batteries. A123 AMP20 cells make 5,000 80% ...

Re: It's Electric!

It depends what quality cells are used and how they are managed as to charge/ discharge level and rate. The nissan Leaf gave EV's a bad name with their LiMn cells which were chosen for safety over anything else. Chevy Volts with LiFe cells with 200k miles are still producing 100%. But they are plug ...

Re: It's Electric!

These bikes are just practice for when gas is $10/ gallonUS, $2.50/ Liter. And more. Then we will all wish we had nice, affordable electric scooters so we can still get where we are going.

Re: Redlights and small scooters

magnets don't help. I have one stop light at the end of the off ramp that I encounter every night on my way home. I got a dozen, 1 inch square very powerfull neo magnets out of a wrecked wind turbine and stuck them to the chin of my lower fairing on my CBR250R, which is very close to the ground. It ...

Re: It's Electric!

I took a test ride on a Zero SR. I would prefer a slightly lower and forwars bar but other than a different set of ergos, it didn't have any major flaws and I would buy one if it had body work ie BMW F800GT. And if it was $10,000.

Re: New Honda PCX Electric and Hybrid in 2018!

There is no reason that the "hybrid" PCX couldn't replace the standard one we have known for very little additional cost. It would just need a better battery and some software changes. Maybe a bigger motor/generator. But not necessarily even that. Having the starter motor/ generator couple...

Re: New Honda PCX Electric and Hybrid in 2018!

My concern with the electric PCX is the range, did they make those batteries big enough. That is the big unanswered question at this point. They were constrained by the existing design. But I give them credit for offering it as a statement and many people can get to work, and charge something small...

Re: New Honda PCX Electric and Hybrid in 2018!

Trying to come up with a profit worthy business model for private companies running charge stations has been very difficult. Especially in big cities where land use expenses are astonomical. To plug into a charge station you are also paying to park in that spot. installing and maintaining the statio...

Re: New Honda PCX Electric and Hybrid in 2018!

I wonder if it will be easier to certify an electric vehicle in any given country than a comparable gas model due to being emission free? It would make it possible for Honda in each country to order smaller quantities than if they were bringing a new gas bike in and forced with emissions certificati...

Kudos KTM. Only $1,000 more than the stinky, noisy two stroke gas version.

Re: PCX Speedo inaccuracy

@sendler2112 Is your PCX 2013 stock? What is your top speed indicated by your speedometer? My PCX is no longer stock. I installed 11gm DrPully sliders and new OEM variator, face, and belt at 12,000 miles and now the top speed is 69 mph indicated at the rev limiter. Up from about 65 when it was new ...

I've done it before but didn't shoot a video. It's dead on. And so was my CBR250R. All of my other USA bikes read fast. I haven't really checked the R3 yet.

Lake Ontario is 37 inches higher than last year. Flooding everything all the way from Toronto to Montreal. Record rain in upstate NY and Ontario all since the thunder storms began in March.
