Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

Used Marine vinyl from Hobby Lobby for a whopping $10 and still have enough left to cover 2 more seats.

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

Finished it and I’m actually surprised at how well it went. No wrinkles except up in front where they are not very noticeable. Here’s to hoping it will last! Now to figure out how to convert heic photos to jpg and then compress in order to upload! That's going to be more difficult than the seat... S...

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

I took the plunge today and took the cover off my 2013 PCX seat with the hump. I would try to upload pics, but can't get it to work. I was able to cut out the round blow molded section and bend what was left into "tabs" for some structure underneath the cushion that I added underneath. The...

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX

As mentioned, take care of them.....although....have been negligent about the valve check. The way its running, actually getting some of the best MPG readings now. Broke 130 mpg recently. Still ride as usual. Don't think its still "breaking in" ....do Ya? : ) Currently at 51,230 miles. No...

Thank you for finding it. Sometimes I get lucky and can find the thread easily. Other times, not so much.
I had it bookmarked. Still figuring out whether I want a new seat or just a cheeky cover., or something else even cheaper.

Still looking at seat options and mounting a flat cushion to the hump base may be a cheap alternative to a custom seat.
I’m considering doing something similar. Please share what you find!

Always measure with the dipstick resting on the threads, do not screw it in to check the level.
Thank you for this comment. I had been looking in the manual for this detail and wasn’t able to find it.

Re: Does a heavy tall windshield effect low speed turning?

Not sure what you mean by heavy. Unless the windshield is made out of glass, whatever windshield you would be using would be light enough that it wouldn’t affect the suspension. I’d assume it to be placebo effect, or just that you aren’t able to turn it as far because of the mirrors hitting your tal...

Check with your local Honda dealer. Remarkably, they were cheaper than everywhere else online too.

Anyone heard what the most miles anyone has on a PCX motor/drivetrain? I'd be curious to see the longevity of these compared to say the Helix.

Re: Taller, wider mirrors?

I believe someone mentioned that they bought mirrors for the Honda CB500X and they fit. Others bought mirror extenders that move the mirror base out about 2 inches, which makes a lot of difference. https://Www.luckybike.com/motorcycle-mirror-riser-extenders has extenders. What I did was look for th...

Re: Gain more speed

You would think, but remember that the 125cc version is the most popular in Europe due to regulations, and in the Asian market Honda's goal was economy. Any extra "umph" in these engines comes from third party vendors. If Honda increased the engine size to 200cc there would still be rider...
