Honda Survey

I just received a Honda survey in the mail asking about our PCX125. And $1 to boot. My favorite fill in the blank question, "What one aspect of your Honda would you most like to see improved?" I love my PCX, but the short service interval is easily my biggest complaint. I hope the survey m...

So sorry to hear that. If you do have insurance and/or can replace it , will you get another PCX?

Re: PCX 150?

Wow, I didn't think we'd see it in the US anytime soon, if ever. No MSRP yet, so I wonder when the 2013 PCX150 will be available? Very tempting 8) . Black is sharp, but candy red would be very nice ;)

Re: PCX 150?

I don't care for it either, or even that black with mauve, but maybe they look better on the street???? I know that I like the white much more now than I did when I only saw a picture.

Re: Any other Girls?

I ride a white PCX so there is at least one other girl PCX rider on this forum :D We also have a Burgman that I intended to ride but never quite felt comfortable with. So, my husband encouraged me to get my own scooter and after lots of research the PCX was my choice. We share the scooter, but I hav...

Re: how much do you pay for insurance?

We are paying $160/year for two riders (both with good driving records), and two scooters (PCX and Burgman). I'm pretty sure we went with the $500 deductible for collision/comprehensive, and that helps keep the cost lower. Not living in the LA area helps too  Been there, and won't be back if I ...

Re: replacement keys?

I think the US warranty is only for 1 year, and it is very unlikely that anything would breakdown during the first year. Or if it did, that doing your own maintenance would be an issue. If there was a serious 5 year warranty I'd be more concerned.

Re: VOLTMETER for PCX !

I agree GN2, that part is hard to swallow. They get recycled, so that makes me feel a little better about it. I don't think a vehicle battery ever lasts more than 7 years, so hopefully we aren't throwing them away very long before they would have failed.

Some amazing images and I was really surprised to see so much collapsed masonry. I hope that things are cleaned up quickly, and that power is restored.

Re: Windy again

How strong were the winds? Was there much damage to property in your area in general? We went through a bad windstorm 5 years ago that sent a huge fir tree into our house and left the neighborhood without power for 10 days during some freezing cold temperatures. Terrifying experience, and I pay much...

Re: VOLTMETER for PCX !

Or too lazy. We replace our vehicle batteries by five years, even if they are working fine. We may be giving up a few useful years, but since we started this maintenance schedule we've avoided the hassles of having to deal with dead batteries. We can shop around for a good price and do the installat...

Re: Back from Christmas!

We had a nice quiet holiday too, although we spent a few days in town just before Christmas. Nice to see the holiday decorations and cheer. We visited several bakeries and drank quite a bit of coffee, so all was good. What kind of hand guards did you get maddie? I ordered some Polisport Free Flows i...

Re: Poor gas mileage

We haven't managed to break the 100 mpg mark, but we have consistently been in the high 90's. Our most recent tank we got 98.2 mpg. The local roads we ride on have a speed limit the 35-40 mph range most of the time, so we very rarely if ever go above 50 mph and much of the time we are in the 35-40 r...

Re: Taco!

In WA state both texting and using a handheld mobile are illegal while driving. That said, there are plenty of other distractions and you see some crazy things just like Maddie said. Only 5 Starbucks in 14 miles? lol, you should see Seattle.... Often several on the same block so you rarely have to l...

Re: Motorcycle Helmets

I'd definitely go the full face route to provide the most protection. Otherwise, if you crash your lower face has no protection at all. In the US look for a Snell certification in addition to the DOT. The DOT is the minimum legal rating, but Snell is more rigorous. Perhaps all helmets in Europe have...

Re: Weather report

It has been cooling down in the Seattle area and we've got a slight chance of snow over the next few days. I'm still riding occasionally, and I hope to pick up our turkey using the scooter. I wonder how big a turkey you can fit in the under seat storage? I won't ride when it is snowing or clos...
