Re: Mods on my PCX 125
I have my stock variator, an NCY variator, and a Yuminashi variator. They are all three the same diameter and all three have the belt go just past the top of the variator. The size of he variator has nothing to do with it. With the stock variator on the stand the bike will do 70mph. With the NCY on...

May be remotely helpful in gusty headwinds but I wouldn't bother with it.

Re: PCX 150 Further mods
From my experience fitting a washer doesn't affect your rpm, only lowers your gearing slightly for better takeoff...only way to increase or decrease your rpm is by adjusting the weights OR changing rear torque spring. Thank you. That sounds reasonable. I still need to try it to verify/disprove my th...

Re: KN Planning torque driver on PCX 150
Thank you. I look forward to that.
My belt already goes all the way out on the front pulley so I would need a shorter belt to allow it to run more inwards on the rear pulley.

Re: PCX 125 vs. 150 wich one better for tuning?
The PCX150 does have longer gearing than the PCX125. But not long enough. I believe it is just one gear that you can replace with a stock gear from PCX150. But you might be changing that gear with an aftermarket one anyway. Depending on the performance you are looking for, you might get the results ...

Do floating valves also limit RPM? That might be what is happening.
Yuminashi said it is a problem with the stock springs.

Re: Scrape-ing side-stand or rear-stand when cornering
Which tyres do you have?
I have plenty grip with the stock Dunlops.
I need to shift my body to reduce chances of scraping the centerstand.
If the road is not clean and dry, then I corner very slowly.

The valve springs?Pcxdemon wrote:My fuel economy keeps improving,im down to 2.7l/100km. I wonder if it has anything to do with Yuminashi valve springs i got installed recently. My top end power past 8000rpm is awesome all the way to the limiter. Its a good upgrade for the Pcx engine.

This is interesting.
We also don't have power 150 curves for either Takegawa or Yuminashi.

I would imagine a single cylinder 4-stroke engine quite tough to start without some decompression.

Re: PCX150 Power Curve
I believe you lose the decompression feature when using the Yuminashi camshaft.
Who here has installed the Takegawa camshaft?
Are there any drawbacks?
Do the PCX125 and PCX150 use the same camshaft?

Re: PCX150 Power Curve
While searching for the Takegawa camshaft, I stumbled upon a proper power curve for the PCX.
Looks like it is for a PCX125 with vs without camshaft.
Any links to Takegawa camshaft for PCX150?
