Re: R.C.T on 2013 pcx

Same, glad you're otherwise OK! Almost 3,000 miles so far and not a scratch, ding or dent, I've stayed on the bike the entire time.

But I know it's coming.

ATGATT... all the gear, all the time.

MG, you'll get better at it soon enough. I swap mine out for the stock shield in warm weather, and the whole job is 10 minutes.

Re: HS5 headlight upgrade

Maybe I'll give it another go then, just to get one in to compare to the stock. I don't really ride at night anyway, but I wanted as bright bulbs as possible for people to see *me*... just been leaving the high beams on instead.

Just curious... can you post pics of where the airbags are located? I truly have no idea where they are on a motorcycle.

Re: HS5 headlight upgrade

Honestly, I just couldn't get a good position to get the strength needed to twist or pull the bulbs out of position. Pretty sure they had to be twisted, but I couldn't do it.

Re: HS5 headlight upgrade

They're 12V, 35/30 Watt bulbs. I couldn't install them myself... maybe it was just as well.

HS5 headlight upgrade

Just a FWIW statement, I had my 2013-150 in for the 2,500 mile service (at 2,900 miles... what can I say, it's been gorgeous out!). I asked if the dealer could install replacement HS5 bulbs I bought online, for $15 each, which are supposed to be brighter (not LED's). He said they weren't DOT approve...

Just had my 2013-150 serviced today. Glad I didn't see a 2015 there, 'cuz I may have come home with one myself!

My Scorpion EXO-500 doesn't fit. *Juuust* fits in the Givi topbox height-wise.

Re: the motorcyclist Wave

I get the nod at times too, sometimes from someone passing at a right angle as that's the most visible. My motorcycle group rides are much like Kat said, easy to keep up but a little tough to catch up at times. But once you're in the group, you're a rider, and they'll wait for you. And what Trib sai...

Re: the motorcyclist Wave

Yes! I love giving and getting the wave. Only been riding for a year (I'm 45), but it immediately made me feel welcome in a group that I'd probably never have contact with otherwise were it not for the scooter. Most other riders will reciprocate the wave, but those who don't do seem to be a bit more...

Most importantly, glad you're (mostly) OK!

Good points about the backpack... riding with one today for the first time, but I'll be stuffing it inside my topcase instead!

Re: Mounted Cameras

I don't see what the big deal is if someone wants to record a ride. I have a GoPro Hero 2 I mounted on the stock windshield with the included adhesive bracket. Had it at the top over the dash, but was too jittery, so I moved it down towards the bottom for less vibration. The video is still a little ...

I have the tall Givi and noticed no perceptible difference in top speed. A strong enough headwind will hold you back with or without one, in my opinion.

Re: Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX

First, my bad... it's a DS model. But it's here: http://amzn.com/B00JYAZ4N0 It actually comes from a company called Roho that makes cushions and beds for medical purposes, to help avoid bed sores, for burn victims, etc. The air bladders are connected and distribute the air inside to support the weig...

Re: Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX

I just put an AirHawk 2 on my 2013 PCX150 yesterday, but probably won't get a chance to ride it until the weekend. One thing to note - those air bladders should never be fully inflated.

Re: Is this a good price for a new 2013 pcx?

I took the MSF course last July and thought it was well worth it. I knew I wanted a scooter to start, but that I'd eventually get a motorcycle as well. The course can be done on a scooter, if you ask ahead of time and they have one on hand (I'm told many do). But it's worth getting the motorcycle kn...
