PCX's ECU
Hi there!. Has anyone dismantled or gained access to the guts of the PCX's ECU?. For a start I still don't know where it's located (some googleing will educate me on that, I know), but then, what I'd like to know is what's inside, and for a reason. I have a good friend who's some kind of chiptuning ...

Re: Kappa top cases???
As far as I know, they're compatible. Kappa and Givi are sister companies. Quality, on the lower end products, is similar. Perhaps a bit better on the Givi products as you climb up the product range ladder.

Re: Tidying the PCX!
Nice photos!. Would you mind including a couple more photos?. I'm thinking about getting rid of my short Givi windshield and ordering the tall Ermax. I'd love to see a "front view" photo and another "side view" one. In the front view one, if you could just leave the handlebar cen...

Re: Sym Maxsym 400i ABS
A bit of a combination of idiot drivers and bad design, the power is normally delivered by the wrong wheels. However even when the power is delivered by the correct wheels, (Mini) the typical arsehole that drives a BMW can still tip one on its roof. I'm, honestly, taking this discussion as a pure j...

Re: Not strictly PCX
It does look good, but I think Honda could have done it better. Much better. Just have a look at their competitors and you'll see 30 hp engines. They could, at least, have left the engine with the original 27 hp of the Scoopy, but they didn't want to. It looks like a PCX on steroids and that's the c...

Re: Sym Maxsym 400i ABS
Audi TT = poof's car. Audi (all other models except original Quattro) = cars for cunts.  Honestly, I don't like the TT, but I couldn't imagine I would read, some day, someone calling it a "poof's car". Had heard that of the Mazda Miata-MX5, though. I hope you have nothing again...

Re: Sym Maxsym 400i ABS
I assume you mean the new Forza 300 and the X-Max 250. Hands down the Forza. However, if I were to choose a 300, I'd choose between the Kymco Downtown or Sym GTS (new model).

Re: Sym Maxsym 400i ABS
I would want to know more about the Maxsym's servicing requirements. If other Sym scooters are anything to go by the X10 beats it hands down. Again, that's pretty subjective. Servicing requirements on the X10 require, IIRC, an oil service every 10.000 kms. Even if it's shorter on the Maxsym, you wi...

Re: Sym Maxsym 400i ABS
I've read forum posts from owners who have nothing but praise for how the X10 handles. Suspension on the X10 is adjustable, maybe the journalist just had it on the wrong setting? Maybe. In this particular test they confronted Kymco 300, Sym GTS300i, X-Max 250 and the X10. Winner was the Sym with the...

Re: Sym Maxsym 400i ABS
The x10 350 won't be sold in oz, only the x10 500. The Maxsym 400i is selling well here at a great price. Any more feedback on the Maxsym or other mid sized abs scooter? All I can tell you is that each and every one of ALL the reviews I've read on this mega scooter speak wonders about it. You can g...

I wouldn't be at all surprised if you find there's no oil in it.
Wouldn't the engine have died way before those 200 miles if there wasn't any oil present?. My thought is that it would have.

Re: Is the PCX's battery a crap?
Sounds like you have a shitty dealer if they refuse to do the factory recommended maintenance. If you've already replaced one battery with that low of mileage, you may have issues with your stator. If so, this is the first case of a stator failing on a PCX that I've heard of. I have way more miles ...

Is the PCX's battery a crap?
Second time it happens. Yesterday I came home late after hanging out with a few friends. We've been having low temperatures here. Make it between 2-4º C (that's cold, for our standards) and when I hit the ignition button she was reluctant to start. She did eventually start, but the engine wasn't sou...

Any feedback on the "universal" pinlocks?. I read they are the option for those of us who do not have a pinlock ready helmet.

I'm using this: http://www.decathlon.es/sobrepantalon-lluvia-5-negro-id_8129813.html And works great. I guess there is no Decathlon in the US but I'm sure you'd find similar stuff. Takes like two minutes to wear it and one to get rid of it. I've ridden under heavy rain and stayed dry, and surprising...

Re: Handlebar muffs potential dangerous?
I think that, safety put aside, I would invest in proper gloves or heated grips prior to fitting my bike with such a horrible looking thing.
