Re: Honda 2015 NM4
It's entertaining putting my customers on test rides on both the CTX and Gold Wing. "Amazing" is generally their response. The CTX riding position, DCT transmission, and low center of gravity make it a treat to ride. The modern Gold Wing needs to be ridden to be appreciated, words do not d...

Re: Honda 2015 NM4
I think the NM4 is going to be an absolutely fantastic bike. I prefer scooters over traditional motorcycles but, working in the motorcycle industry allows me the chance to ride pretty much every Japanese motorcycle or scooter released in the US, I have to admit Honda is on top of making incredible h...

The 2015 PCX150 is the updated version coming to the US and the price hasn't changed. Honda also announced a new NM4 model that looks very interesting.

Re: Post your Mods & Rev Limited Top Speed Here!!!
Yes that's completely normal. There is an ever so slight power increase once the engine is completely broken in (around 2,000 miles), but realistic top speed with the stock windshield is low to mid 60s. Taller windshields streamline the air so your upper body doesn't act like a sail, resulting in to...

Re: rear tyre
Don't use your brakes? Really? Riding around slow enough as to not have to use ur brakes is absolutely ridiculous. Tires and break pads are cheap.

Re: 2014 New Model PCX
Talked to a Honda rep this week at work, he wouldn't confirm or deny the US is getting the updated PCX, but I have a feeling it will be the updated version. May 5 is apparently when it will either be announced or released. Funny how tight lipped manufacturers are even with dealerships.

Re: 20,000 mile update
It just does not get any more reliable than a small hp Honda engine and it's components. I forgot to mention rollers and front break pads were on back order at the 15,000 mile mark so it didn't get done, being the procrastinator that I am, I've had the parts for months, but haven't gotten around to ...

20,000 mile update
055.JPG I bought my PCX150 new in Sept of 2013 and surpassed the 20k mark on the way to work this morning so I thought I'd give an update on my experience. Living in southwest Florida, the weather allows me to commute 40 miles round trip to work year 'round. For those of you not familiar with SW Fl...

Any law enforcement officer that would waste his, her, and or anyone's time looking into such a minor difference in a scooter tire in order to issue a citation is beyond comprehension to me. But there's actually some out there, even ones willing to admit it on the internet. lol

Re: Best winter tires?
There is no such thing as a motorcycle tire that's good on ice unless it's studded and doing such a thing on a PCX is ridiculous.

Re: Yes yes yes!Almost new driver!
The main thing about breaking in an engine is not to run it at the same rpm for an extended period of time. Warm it up and run it through the entire rpm range. Yes this means wide open throttle at times. Don't be afraid to let 'er rip (as much as you can with this small of an engine). The whole &quo...

Re: 7500 service advice
Oops, I forgot the belt, I changed the belt, rollers, and spark plug at 15,000 miles. The belt was still in really good condition so I kept it for an emergency spare. Top speed had fallen from 69 to 62-63. My last fuel-up returned 103 mpg. Change the oil every 4-5 thousand miles and just ride it.

Re: 7500 service advice
I have 17,000 miles on my 2013 PCX150 and have done nothing but oil changes, spark plug once, rollers once, and tires, still runs and sounds like new. IMO people worry too much. It's a small Honda engine that is practically bulletproof.

Re: Stored for Winter 2013
I feel your pain. The first 38 years of my life I lived in northern MN where the "comfortable" riding season was generally 6 months long. By "comfortable" I mean above 40 degrees. I've lived in FL the past 3 years, where normal highs in January are in the 70s, and absolutely love...

Re: Home made deer stands
I grew up in northern MN and have lived in FL the past 3 years, great seeing pics of building deer stands. I miss that, and this time of year up there! Season opens up tomorrow in MN, looking forward to getting pics from my friends up there. Just doesn't seem like deer season when it's still 85 degr...
