Re: Rollers vs Sliders ? Which is better
No you don't have to replace everything, it is personal preference. Depend what end result one wants. That people replace components and get better acceleration is because of the weight of the components not necessarily the /size/shape. It is no surprise that Dr. Pulley suggests that one uses 10-15%...

Re: PCX150 - Vario150 Belt Swap
To end all of the confusions I'll measure the lenght soon. But the problem is I don't have any accurate measuring tape for that. Will an indirect measurement using any flexible strings acceptable here? Or should I use the rolling method? The teeth makes measurement difficult Mark a line on the belt...

Re: PCX150 - Vario150 Belt Swap
More lack of information, than concern. Now Clemence has published the data at least on the width, we simply have to verify the length.
If the same it can only be good for everyone.

Re: PCX150 - Vario150 Belt Swap
Why will it not work? First we have to find out how long it is. Yuminashi use the old PCX 125 belt with their kit and it is shorter. If new belt is slightly longer then maybe. But until then the glass is half full... The AHM [Astra Honda Motor] claim it to be more reliable and flexible in the long r...

Re: PCX150 - Vario150 Belt Swap
That is the same number for the "new" PCX 150 (G) or LED belt (23100-K36-J01) so it is double toothed as well? At 22.1mm it the same width as the 2103 model.
So sounds like the 23100-K36-J01 is the way to go for all.

Re: Takegawa FICon2
Should be.
Question about the camshaft. Is it very different or maybe it just doesn't have the auto decompression mechanism? This has been discussed before and some after market cams don't have it but they still fit/work.

Re: Takegawa FICon2
^ Again this is for 12-15 and maybe not for Vint's LED or "G" version. I guess it depends on the connector. If the Takegawa one fits then there is a good chance.
Similar would be EJK or Dobeck unit which simply piggy backs onto the injector.

Re: performance degredation - 4 years and daily motorway rid
OK we also now know that the camshaft from the previous model doesn't fit the new? model. I has a new PCX 150 of 2015 model year. I bought on the japan.webike the kit of Takegawa. All was installed except the camshaft - because it is not impossible to install the camshaft of previous model year to P...

Re: Takegawa FICon2
t probably too much of an investment unless you're fully committed with a bore kit, which will take the mix way off map. I partly disagree. Bang for the buck to be had with a decent camshaft and exhaust. If coupled to the right variator. If one is converting a 125 then maybe but they are still as a...

Re: performance degredation - 4 years and daily motorway rid
OK the correct belt for the latest 150 LED or what they have as "(G)" in my local Honda dealer is 23100-K36-J01.
Now we have to find out what the difference is?

Re: 2015 (LED) vs previous iterations performance decrease
Meaning 17/53 to 17/54 primary? Maybe someone can direct me to the thread. Then if the belt is shorter and does allow it to travel to the outer limits of the variator. If you see where my logic is going.
2% is not so much. Requires another 190 rpm! That is all.
