Re: Honda Thailand recalls PCX 150
Last Saturday (June 23) I received a phone call from Honda Phuket, they asked me to come in for the tire replacement on Monday. Being on a holiday trip in the North-East of Thailand I confirm Tuesday. Today I went there about 10.30 in the morning. At about 12.30 (after lots of Angry Birds on my Gala...

Re: AGH POLLEN
There is not much of problem with pollen here, but about heat! Park in the sun and your back gets fried when you sit down on the bike. So many people just use a towel wrapped around the seat here, it works wonders against the sun and after a rain it is useful for drying your seat. Douglas Adams said...

Re: Honda Thailand recalls PCX 150
I went to Honda in Phuket today for the 1000km-service and to ask for the replacement tires. The check-up took just long enough to get some fried noodles for breakfast, the bill (for the service) was 230 Baht (~5.75 Euro), noodles about 1 Euro. And the tires? "Honda did not deliver, sorry!"...

Re: PCX 150 Ship Date (and break-in question)
I've ordered a red one! How do you like it? I thought I've read somewhere else on this forum that you don't have much mileage on it yet? I am just at 750 km now, just hunting up and down the island. My only modification was the seat (see Gallery). Now I am waiting for a call from my dealer to get n...

Re: Home-made Highway Bars and other mods
Actually, the bars extend not further than the mirrors. But you have to be careful when passing cars waiting at a traffic light, especially near high sidewalks.

Home-made Highway Bars and other mods
This is V 1.0 of the highway bars my friend attached to his PCX. Personally I don't like the look too much, but it is his bike. What I like is the coloured touch to the exhaust protector and the seat. The wheels are just sprayed silver, looks not bad. He got the transmission "enhanced", to...

Re: Updating the seat
Nice ride. Can you comment on the seat strength/integrity with the 2 seat pins removed? No problem, even with me (100kg+) and a passenger (~80kg). The seat is solid, and much more comfortable for the passenger now. And I can change my position (riding alone), stretching legs is no problem. How much...

Re: Honda Thailand recalls PCX 150
Thats a little disturbing... I guess PCX125 is not affected by this? Check your VIN - I guess the 125 will not be affected. At least two friend of mine are within the range mentioned in the letter, they did not receive a notice yet. but they are living in Nong Khai, almost up-country. Mail there is...

Re: Honda Thailand recalls PCX 150
Time to get some PCX150 burnout videos before you take those tires in :) I'd appreciate that, too. There is still some tiny spots of the marking-new colour left on the wheels. I am just on the 3rd fuel-up... But otherwise, I am happy with that kind of customer-care. By the way, one tank full of gas...

Re: How much did you pay for your PCX?
Bought my PCX-150 on May 9th, 2012 for 76.000 Baht in Phuket/Thailand. Included were two jackets, two helmets, 1 year insurance, 1 year tax, registration fee.
It is a red one :-)

Re: Updating the seat
Not just a 150 cc but a RED one as well, you lucky lucky man I had to order it and wait about two weeks. A white one would have been available after one week, a black (shudder!) one immediately. I am glad that I waited. More pictures will follow weather permitting. Right now it rains cats&dogs ...

Updating the seat
My legs are definitely too long for the standard seat of the PCX, so had it modified. After the second modification it is perfect for me now, the total cost of the change was about 20 Euros here in Thailand. Now it is a real seat, not a wrong copy of Yamaha's TMax... See attached pictures. 2012-06-0...
