Re: ACF-50 review
Apparently, a light misting of acf is the best way to apply it to new clean surfaces. The aerosols are crap for this, and tend to squirt a stream instead. I adjusted the spray gun to fire a fine mist of the stuff so it would find every nook and cranny.

Coolant replacement procedure
Hi, I've just carried out my first service at 520 miles, changing the oil, cleaning the strainer (which had a few bits of swarf on it!) and checking the rear diff oil. While I had the tools out, I decided to change the coolant for 5 year life stuff instead, draining it via the bottom rad pipe. Howev...

Re: ACF-50 review
As soon as my brand new scooter arrived, I covered the tyres and brake disc with blankets then sprayed a mist of acf50 into the body cavity using a spray gun. The mist travelled along the bodywork and emerged around the steering yoke, proving good coverage from front to back. I also unplugged any mu...

Re: a tip for diy tire changers
I've always changed my own tyres on everything from a 50cc bws up to a 900 diversion. I find the hardest bit is breaking the bead seal, using a metal wedge and a length of 3x4 as a lever under the car towbar. After that it's plain sailing, just use plenty of tyre soap to lubricate the bead when refi...

Re: Nice new PCX
The new 2018 model will be available in the UK any time now. Mine is the last of the 2014-2017 models, but registered this year on a 2018 plate.
Here in the UK the plate displays the year of registration, so you can tell at a glance how old a vehicle is.

Re: Nice new PCX
Bigbear, it's not the very latest model with abs and all digital clocks, it's the last of the 2014-2017 models that were being sold off cheaply before the new stock came in. Pcx150rider, not sure about the make of the top box rack, it came loose in a jiffy bag. It's simple to fit though, just remove...

Nice new PCX
Hi all, I traded in a very tired old Yamaha BWS50 and came away with a brand new PCX instead. It was delivered to my house, but the next day I was off on a biking trip to the Alps on one of my bigger bikes. Anyway, on my return, the PCX was swiftly insured and taken for a test run. What can I say, i...

Re: battery replacement interval
Batteries can last a long time if looked after. I still have the original battery on my 2004 ford Mondeo and it's still going strong, even through the bad winter we just had!

Brand new pcx owner on Thursday.
Hi all, I've today ordered a Honda pcx125 from my local Honda dealer in the UK to replace my old going to work bike, a Yamaha bws50. Just got to pay the balance on Tuesday, then it's being delivered on Thursday afternoon. :) Unfortunately though, I'm off to tour the French Alps the next day on my to...
