Re: Not going to order the PCX because . . . . .

Very nice! I liked the S-Wing a lot when I got it as a loaner. More comfortable than the PCX and with mirrors that you can actually use!

Re: Automatic motorbike

Only in terms if operation. Not function. The end result might be that the bike accelerates without you having to change gears or actuate a clutch, yes. But the manner in which it goes about achieving this is completely different. As to which is superior, I don't know as I haven't personally tried ...

No no no no no, the NC700 does not have an CVT as an option, but a DCT. Big difference!

Re: New summer jacket

Always had a Dainese wave back protector in my leather jacket which I got 6 years ago when I bought an sv650s. While it offers very basic protection a proper strap on back protector is the way to go but I would never wear one on a scooter. Yesterday my bro was wearing same jacket with dainese back ...

Re: When's the new esp PCX out in the UK?

you know, the one thing they could have done to make the PCX objectively better was to make the tank bigger

but hey, we claim it's more economical so it won't really bother you if we just make it a tiny bit smaller, right?

You'll not find whiskey from Scotland and scotts is porage oats  http://www.scotch-whisky.org.uk/understanding-scotch/faqs/ http://www.scottsporage.co.uk/home.php Hah, you know I briefly looked it up and came away with the impression that 'whisky' was just the American English spelling, I did...

If you like your Ninja so much, why don't you make a thread about it? This thread is about discussing the NC700.

Maybe a streamlined pcx could get 260mpg? Wouldn't be good in cross winds though.
A streamlined PCX would be less efficient than that Innova, the CVT is less efficient than gearbox + chain.

Would you have to change them in the winter?
Is that the correct size for a PCX?
And how many miles do the standard tyres last before they need to be replaced?
Thanks

There are no winter tires in the sizes for the PCX yet.

Re: 214mpg on a scooter?

Not really a scooter, it's based on the Honda Innova 125, with the 4 speed semi-automatic gearbox. The main thing that makes it efficient is the streamlining.

Re: Home-made Highway Bars and other mods

That looks pretty nice, thanks for sharing. But I have to wonder, don't these bars make the PCX way too wide? I was in Phuket a few months ago and did some riding on a smaller Honda scooter, and from my experience I'd rather have a narrow scooter for the traffic there than an extra wide one!

Re: Honda NC700

I hate to burst your bubble Animator, but so far the users at Fuelly.com and Spritmonitor.de score significantly better economy with the NC700X than with the Ninja 650. But, that's ok! I mean, the Ninja 650 is much more a traditional motorcycle in that the engine likes to be revved, and it produces ...
