Re: Vibrations on startup

Optical clarity in the mirrors hasn’t been a serious issue for me when the bike is on the center stand. Lol. Don’t think I’ve ever started my engine on the center stand, so mine never vibrates like that. There are no instructions to warm up your bike before riding, so I back it out of the garage, pu...

Huh? Now that the 150s only come in red or black in the US, the red is way outselling the black. I'm guessing 4:1

Thanks!

I got hung up on step 6. Didn't know what superfluous code to discard.

Re: Today's Quick Pic

I had a friend growing up that used their parents red convertible around town and to drive to/from high school. It looks a lot like the one I posted. Thanks Urbanian for taking the guess work out of the year choices for me 8) I didn't care for the look of it then, but I like it now. Oh, I'm not sur...

Re: For your consideration

I want my next car to get better gas mileage than a Prius, be faster than a Corvette, have more seats than an Odyssey, pull more than a F-350, and cost less than a Fit. My budget is limited so I’ll do it with mods to my dad’s old Taurus. :P

Re: For your consideration

I don’t know anyone who spends so much effort and $$$ tweaking his car’s engine to get just 3 more MPH. OTOH, I won’t drive a car that tops out at 60 MPH either. I want my cars to easily drive any speed I will ever want to go (almost never more than 70, though any of them could do 100) My PCX *150* ...

Welcome to the forum!

There's a handful of us PCX riders over here on the other side of the mighty Mississip just a stone's throw west of you.

Re: what rucksack which also fits under the seat?

Seriously, am I the only one with a seat latch that requires a hearty thwack to get the seat to lock? Is it out of adjustment?

Re: Problem with oil.

The first oil change is the most important one, and was supposed to have been done at 600 miles. As your brand new engine beds in, it produces a surplus of metallic contaminants which should have been removed at the first oil change. Sounds like you kept all that crud in your engine an extra 2400 mi...

Re: what rucksack which also fits under the seat?

Are you saying there is a stop engine switch on the seat??? I’m sure it’s hard to ride with the seat full open, but I seldom latch the seat when I ride. It’s a bit annoying that the seat on my bike requires a hefty smack with the heel of my hand to get it to latch, so most of the time I don’t bother...

Re: Tail Light Assembly & Fix

In the US the 150 is freeway legal. The 125 is not. Sometimes a two minute ride on the freeway will save 15 minutes in traffic on side streets. I try to avoid driving my PCX on the freeway, but occasionally it helps. Meanwhile there’s no shame in a 20% increase in power, and raising top speed 10 mph...

Re: HondaCare warranty

I bought a Honda so I wouldn’t have to buy an extended warrantee. I am blessed to live a block from the best scooter mechanic in the St. Louis region. Before I bought the PCX he encouraged me to buy a Vespa and budget for maintenance over the long haul, which he said would not be cheap, but would ke...

Re: Honda SH150i

Last year in the US, you could find an Elite 110, PCX125, and SH150 being sold side-by-side in your local Honda dealership. It’s not as crazy as it might seem. Honda regularly introduces, discontinues, and reintroduces scooters in the US, with few bikes staying in the pipeline multiple consecutive y...

Re: How-To Adjust Combination Brake Cable

How is adjusting the “combination brake cable” different than adjusting the rear brake cable? A few days after getting my scoot, I discovered the parking brake wasn’t holding, so I adjusted the rear brake cable at the rear tire. It took a couple of adjusts before the parking brake held the bike snug...
