With the 140 you may have to modify the inner fender slightly (kramnala has done this).
I had a look and the stock tyre appears to be <20mm from some of the plastic.
Some modification would be necessary.

Re: Wider Tires

I'm quite impressed with the stock Dunlops on mine.
I would certainly replace the rear tyre with a larger one when the time comes - primarily to improve the gearing above 90km/h.

Redwind, did you get the standard size tyres for your PCX?

Re: Wider Tires

The speedo on my 150 over-reads by 10%.
140/70-14 OD is 3% more than stock.
150/70-14 OD is 5.6% more than stock.

Is there any chance that a 150/70-14 would fit on the PCX?

Would be nice if I could get a 130/90-14.

Re: Gears for higher top speed

140-70-14 tire on stock wheel, will add 4mph. 8) That is excellent news. I was wondering if changing tyres was a realistic option. Any hassles? Can one go any bigger without hassles? I checked my speedo against GPS and it reads 10% high. ie: shows 110km/h when I'm travelling at 100km/h. I'll invest...

Gears for higher top speed

I am currently aware of 2 options. 1. Kitaco long ratio sprocket set: http://www.okaeri-japan.fr/index.php?page=shop.product_details&product_id=40&category_id=9&flypage=flypage.tpl&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=3 51 teeth vs 53 stock gives 3.9% higher gearing. 2. Yuminashi FORGED ...

Re: Dyno graph for Pcx 125, 125esp and 150esp

I would like full throttle to result in peak power (eg 8000rpm regardless of speed). My USA 2013 PCX150 pretty much does that after just changing to 12 gram DrPulley sliders. full throttle pulls see the rpms climb quickly right up to 7.900 rpm where it stays until the gearing is maxed out around 50...

I'm going to use my ears and put the money towards a long ratio gear.

Re: Dyno graph for Pcx 125, 125esp and 150esp

I'm still a little confused. It appears that the rpm at WOT depends on driving conditions. Am I correct? It would be nice to get peak power at WOT regardless of acceleration, slope, and the conditions prior to opening the throttle. I would like to get the sliders. Also keen to play with the springs....

Re: Dyno graph for Pcx 125, 125esp and 150esp

I would like full throttle to result in peak power (eg 8000rpm regardless of speed).
Suppose I manage to tweak the CVT to achieve the above goal at all speeds when accelerating on a flat...
Does this categorically mean I would under all conditions (going uphill or downhill) get peak power at wot?

Re: Mods on the cheap

I wonder what adding a spacer to the torque spring would achieve.
This would count as a cheap mod.

Or perhaps reduce the weight of the nut that connects the handlebars to the seat.

PCX150 Power Curve

Does anyone have a proper power curve for the PCX150?
kW vs engine rpm.
I have seen some kW vs kph curves; Their usefulness is limited to illustrating that the gearing could be better below 75kph and above 100kph.

Would it help to simply position the mirror arms such that the mirrors are further back?

Just under 2000 USD new here.
Rode home from work in the rain today. I was so glad to be on the scooter because the cars were not moving.

My new friend

I got mine yesterday and rode 100km.
This motorcycle is fantastic and fits me like a glove. Even the seat hump is working as intended.
So far, performance is great but I haven't ridden with passenger yet.
