Re: Crash stop on IRC tyres

I don´t consider myself an inexperienced rider and I do not like the IRCs. I understand and feel that they grip better with higher temperatures, such as they exist in South East Asia (and Australia). I had at least three times they did not grip as they should, all at below 20 Celsius. I am not the o...

Re: Power cleaning! Is this a good for the brakes?

Bearings are a problem, but a more immediate problem could be tyre damage if you leave the pressure at the sidewall for over 5 seconds: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... iller.html

Re: Riding 2013 Pcx over weight limit

Ok so, in the long term things may fail early. I don't plan on riding like this all the time. Maybe say 20 miles or less a week. Now on the short term, the rear tire getting really hot, is there a cause for concern? As for that picture, sure i wouldnt mind over loading but we're going 55+ mph... lo...

Re: Greetings from Slovakia !

Greetings Slovakia, from Vietnam. I love how this bike is so international. Cobbled streets, mountains, I'm so jealous. I had a nice time in Vietnam and Nha Trang this February :-) Bought a Yamaha Scooter in Saigon, rode to Nha Trang and then took the train to Hanoi. The train ride was somewhat bor...

Re: Passed an accident on my way in involving a bike

In the UK, one problem that I have seen is the attitude of car drivers to having L plates on your scoot. They seem to be a sign to drivers that says 'I must get passed' . For example, in my home town, the main through road has a 30mph speed limit, which increases to 40mpg for about 300 yards before...

Re: Passed an accident on my way in involving a bike

Evidently the standards of the licensing body is declining. Over 60% of people fail their tests, so how much stricter would they need to be? This is already one of the highest fail rates in the EU! Germany´s is around 30%, but then they have obligatory 10 hours classroom teaching that includes the ...

Re: ? top speed pcx 125?

Yep, cross winds and turbulence from passing lorries are an issue, but I hope that it will get better with the larger tyres. I don´t ride the PCX WOT, 55 to 60 mph is usually enough to keep up with traffic in the slow lane and the scooter sounds all right. I don´t do long rides cross country or so, ...

Re: UK insurance -

The insurers in the UK are nothing but scammers who make their money trusting people are to busy or to squeezed or to lazy to switch. I have never seen a place where the renewal was more expensive after another year of not claiming but the UK! My insurance profile: - nearly 10 years protected no cla...

Re: ? top speed pcx 125?

Same in the UK. A PCX 125 cannot keep ahead of trucks, it just isn't fast enough. Are you in the same United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland where I live? If so, there is a 60mph speed limit strictly enforced even with tachographs. I have not seen a stock PCX doing less then that and ...

Or maybe get a 125 with more bhp. Just would like all your opinions . Thanks all and gre...

Re: honda pcx standard tyre lifespan

'The rear tyre locked' - is that due to having to apply more pressure then expected?, as I don't understand how lack of grip comes into play with the tyre locking - isn't that a braking issue not a grip issue? Others stated that the City Grip extra-grip only comes into play when turning as the cent...

Re: R&G Sliders

Hi all, Just wanted to report back on the effectiveness of these. I had a chance to test them out before the 23rd of February when I went to Vietnam, due to my own stupidity (please don´t ask how). It was a fairly low speed crash, roughly 10 - 15 mph. I landed on my right side and am impressed. I th...

Just came back from a Bike trip in Vietnam, bought a Scooter in Saigon for 310 Dollars and sold it in Hanoi for 160, after fixing stuff for another 50 Dollars on the way. I can put some interesting helmet cam videos online now :D Stuff like oncoming 40 Ton trucks passing and overtaking in my face......
