Re: Warped Rear drum brake

I'm in Australia, the brakes are definitely linked front and rear with the left lever. Get the shop involved to admit in writing that there is a problem from the start and what they are advising you to do, then involve Honda Australia via email and get approval from them for what the shop is telling...

Re: Rear Shocks

its probably not the tyre slipping out, but the stock rear shocks do pogo a bit if you are any larger than a small japanese/thai man.

Re: Ducati...

Buell is still around as EBR ( Erik Buell Racing) but the company recently folded under strange circumstances. They were half owned by Hero, a massive Indian company that builds scooters amongst other things. There has been suggestion that the bankruptcy was planned as part of the Hero takeover of t...

Re: Brake upgrade

DSC_0026.JPG DSC_0027.JPG DSC_0028.JPG The braided lines and good pads make the biggest difference, I'm using Kitaco lines and SBS sintered pads plus good quality DOT4 fluid. Larger rotors and caliper brackets dont make too much difference to performance but look great. If you wanted you could repl...

Re: After market rear shocks?

yss shocks are probably the best value around, you can get fully adjustable ones but the simple preload only ones work just fine. they come in a XL version to suit riders 90 - 120 kgs.

Re: Yuminashi PCX 150 Speed Combo, anyone try it?

Yuminashi are currently redesigning the 150 BBK after having a couple of overheating issues during development, thats why there arent any kits available at the moment. I have bought parts from reggy in person and through the yuminashi website and havent had any problems thus far

Re: headlight upgrade

I installed the LED Ribbons today. it was fairly easy with the main issue being the size of the heatsinks and locating the processor boxes. The butterfly style heatsinks are huge and i needed to move some wires out of the way, nothing too dramatic though. I rigged it all up without doing a full inst...

Re: So, how'd that engine mod work out for you?

I'm at a similar point with my scoot. I picked up some yuminashi parts last year, basically all the engine parts bar the BBK and was planning to wait for the new BBK to become available. its been 7 months now since i was told it was a few weeks away. I am most likely going to go ahead with installin...

Re: Enough about going faster, how about slowing down?

you can make quite a difference to the braking on the pcx. I am running a KN Planning 260mm front disc, Kitaco braided lines, Kitaco SBS sintered pads and a good quality DOT4 fluid. The lines and the pads make the biggest change by far, I installed them first to see what they could do and then insta...
