Re: Video How To: How to change tire at home
I watched all the videos of how to do this at home when I put a new rear tire on my XMAX recently, and realized I’d be paying more for all the stuff than just taking the tire and wheel down to my local dealer . They charged me $45 for the change… I was literally in and out of the dealership in 30 mi...

I hate this site because you can’t edit… The bottom line is a 2019 or 2020 is about the same top speed as a 21 or 22… stock bikes without messing with the roller variator etc. etc.

Re: Is the PCX160 even being sold in the States?
We’ve been over this before the PCX 160 isn’t any faster than 150… 2 valve versus four valve versus 150 versus 160 it doesn’t matter it may be a mile or two more but nothing that matters. There is a post here by somebody who was telling all the difference and he was shut down several times by people...

10 cc Absolutely makes no discernible difference from the seat of your pants regarding performance.

To each his own, I had the PCX I now have an X max 300, and I just sold my CTX 700. The X max doesn’t feel any heavier than my PCX moving it around the garage, and riding it. Putting it up on the center stand feels exactly the same as my PCX…And the 700 felt much heavier in all respects.

Nobody is compromising those specs… All the mods here are just additions to baggage, cell phones etc. nobody’s really messing with the PCX engine.

Re: Universal Emergency Key for every PCX?
Seriously, you think somebody is gonna be carrying this type of counterfeit adapter to get into your bike? I doubt it any theme would think about doing that, clearly Honda is banking on the fact that no one would be carrying some type of device that would allow you to get into your bike. I think you...

You will get some people saying the shocks are OK, I thought they were complete crap …/every speed bump that I hit went straight up through my back. There are many reasonable sets of shocks you can buy in Thailand that will solve your problem the YSS G series is a good selection. https://bikerzbits....

Don’t try to make paint repairs on a scooter, the already painted replacement is super cheap, replace the panel.

Re: 2013 vs 2015 buying decisions
I would take the 15… a 13 with only that might many miles on it means it’s been sitting rotting, , which means that they’re can be a lot wrong with it unless it’s been kept inside in a pristine heated garage. The 15 also is a major revision in the line versus a3 13.

Re: Is changing final drive oil every 2 years really necessary?
You’re not wrong, the rear end of a scooter, as long as the seals are good is under no real heat or compression, every time I change the oil it comes out looking exactly like it it was when I put it in. That being said, it’s so easy, I change it every year or so while I’m doing other oil changes.

I wouldn’t put them up here if they were a problem. I’ve been using them for about a year now and they work fine, no leaks.

Re: HELP! Coolant Drain Plug snapped off inside the hole
If you don’t have an electric drill it means your tools are relatively sparse. Take it to a body shop or an auto repair place and they can have it out in 30 seconds with an EZ out tool. Order a new plug before you take this one out.

You can use any 10W-30 automotive oil in the rear end, there’s very little pressure and no combustion so it lasts forever… Don’t overthink this.

Look into it wind deflector that mounts on the top edge , Puig makes a good one on Amazon, it will send the wind over your helmet, and you can take it off when you’re running around town. I think the super big windshields just look bad on a scooter. Makes them look top heavy

I love anything with wheels, I’ve never understood the hate that some scooter people have toward cars, it’s than the idiots that drive them, not the vehicles themselves….. I have a new 2021 BMW X2 m35i that’s just amazing… 320 hp AWD, It’s one of the most fun cars I’ve ever driven.

Re: 2021 PCX’s arriving at U.S. Honda dealers!
I did 4K miles a year only changing the oil. Had a cycle shop replace the belt at 12k and the rear tire at about 7000. Download the owners manual , it’s online somewhere, never checked the valves…Used doctor pulley and it didn’t affect the bike whatsoever in terms of wear. I’m not recommending you d...
