Re: Koso Mini Tach

I'm thinking one might be able to mount it behind the "glass" and drill a hole behind the tach for the cable.
Fortunately I'm the only one who rides my scoot so the only complaint I hear is that I have wasted money on unnecessary shite.

Thanks for the inspiration, dudes.
I quickly bought a TTO tach and copied Mike's mounting position.

Re: Gears for higher top speed

I ordered my Yuminashi gear set last night. Installing it will be an interesting experience. Where from? I haven't been able to contact Reggie directly, and his dealers can't seem to get in touch with him either. I'm also curious if you managed to get ahold of the Yuminashi sensor I hear is n...

Not to mention bread. I hate stuffing it under the seat with the rest of my groceries.

Re: Gears for higher top speed

I ordered my Yuminashi gear set last night. Installing it will be an interesting experience. According to Yuminashi website, the 2013 PCX150 has a longer belt than all the other scoots in the PCX range. This 23100-KWN-000 version is the shorter version from the Gates Powerlink V-belt, and if y...

When I started the thread, I wasn't aware that the 125 has shorter gearing.

This happened to my car when I forgot to close the door in the afternoon. I found out at about midnight.
Wonder what the neighbours thought after I screamed "You crazy bitch!".

Now she puts her sharp teeth to better use.

Re: Help Adding USB to PCX150

Looks like a nice solution. I just hacked my own one together using some crap I found at home. It does the job but your proposal looks excellent. It shouldn't matter which fuse you piggy back off because you put that fuse back in the adapter. I would use any one that is energized when you turn the k...

Re: Honda 2015 NM4

There is only one reason for the demise of shaft drive road bikes and that is the popularity of superbike racing. Fashion over function is the modern doctrine, even the more practical modern bikes suffer from utterly inadequate seats and mudguards for example. I would have thought cost to be the ma...

Re: Gears for higher top speed

Based on the above, I can use both the Kitaco sprocket and the Yumi sprocket kit -- I did see it mentioned that the Yumi kit is for the 150, any reason why it wouldn't be appropriate on a bored out 170? I have more than enough power to use it. I believe the Yumi kit is applicable to both 125 and 12...

Re: Performance parts

You ordered the right thing. I dunno why they call them rollers. They even call them SLIDING "ROLLERS" in one place... which would be an apt name for the conventional round weights. The stock weights are round but they slide anyway and develop flat spots. Dr Pulley weights are made with fl...

Re: Performance parts

Your not increasing the power, just how it's transmitted. Actually you are doing both. The engine produces substantially more power at 8000-8500 rpm than at 5000 rpm. Running at lower gearing for a particular speed and power also means you are getting more torque to the wheel. As I wrote elsewhere,...

Re: Performance parts

Those variator kits are also good.. the Takegawa looks like good value and there are a few people on this forum who have had success with it. But Dr Pulley sliders are cheaper still and will do everything that you are looking for. They also tend to slide more freely than rollers so rpm adjustments a...
