Re: what has happened to this site?
My wife's arm/shoulder has healed but gives her limited range since they had to reattach tendons, ligaments, etc. The left shoulder was really splintered, so now she has composite plates and screws in there. (She is really allergic to nickel, which most surgical metals have in them, so they had to s...

Re: Mirror running light
Have you checked to see if the 350 mirrors will fit on your 125? Wiring it is not a problem. Just download a schematic for the 350 to see how they are hooked up.

Re: Lifespan
After my first dealer oil change I switched to full synthetic oil. With synthetic oil you can expect less wear on the engine, and changing the oil at 4,000 miles is still considered early (the recommended change cycle for all synthetic oil is 7,500 miles). I have done this with every bike I have own...

Re: 2012 PCX150 Final Reduction Noise?
I can say with certainty that the best way to hear the noise without other noise interference is to turn the bike off, put it on the center stand, and spin the back tire. Go both directions, and if you hear a grinding noise then you can bet the bearings are going. During the 2012 thru 2015 productio...

Re: Pcx any good for long distance travelling 200+ miles
I am not sure how the main roads are over there, but over here in the United States the speed limit it is 70 mph. I have a 2013 PCX 150 that can do 75 mph tops (it has been modified little), and yet it is so light that trucks that pass it at that speed almost lift it off of the road. That is why I t...

Re: 2012 PCX150 Final Reduction Noise?
That is not very many miles on it so unless it is really screaming you may be OK until the parts come in. We had 10,000 miles on ours when the bearing got so bad that to have it replaced. It is cheaper to replace the assembly than to replace the two suspect bearings, and the cost in time is less as ...

Re: what has happened to this site?
you you, There are days, like today, when the nerves that run down my legs (both) will spike every time I take a step. Standing is difficult, but I do my best to"walk it off". Eventually, I can walk with fewer spikes. Riding is out of the question during that time. "Growing some"...

Re: online store for 2017 pcx 125 accessoires recommendation
Many of the parts for the 125 of the same year also fit the 150, as long as they are for the same region or are general in nature. In fact, Honda uses the same body for both the 125 and 150. That makes production easier. For instance, if you are not buying a replacement panel of a certain color that...

Re: what has happened to this site?
Some days are great for me. Some days are not. The questions that I have to ask myself involve not only how I feel, but also how attentive I can be once I get on the bike. If things go right, I will feel great and be quite attentive. However, on the days when my body aches and my mind isn't 100% on ...

Re: what has happened to this site?
I just turned 75 and I didn't think I would stop until recently. Then, this year my joints started hurting enough to stop me from riding on certain days, and my back (after 13 back surgeries) now yells at me in the mornings when I get up. It is as though I reached a point in life when all of the exte...

Re: what has happened to this site?
My 2013 model is great and dependable, though I am about to stop riding all together due to age. Still, it has been dependable and is esay to work on. This "throw away" generation thinks that they need the newest model of something in order to get dependability, so what I am seeing on this...

Re: Scooter 1000
I made a back rest for my bike as well, but I also added a gel seat pad for my butt. From that point on my rides were really comfortable. You should try one of those. You would be surprised at how much of a difference it makes. My riding days are just about over because I am getting up there in age,...

dankly, Congrats on being able to proceed through OCS and flight school. I gained some stick time by way of being an E6 with a pilot who wanted to fly without a copilot occassionally. I don't think they let them do that now. You were one of the few Coasties that I have known who were allowed that ro...

Another Coastie...wow! Glad to meet you. I spent a lifetime as an aircraft electrician, and flight crew on helicopters and C-130s, and was deployed on icebreakers as well as various bases throughout the United States. After "fun" trips to the Antarctic, the Arctic and various ports of call...

Re: Top Box Lights
Nice!! I had my Givi box lights connected through their magnetic hookup but for some reason if I hit a bump in the road the connections would be broken. I also found that I could not connect additional lights through that connector. Eventually I pulled the connector and hooked everything through a q...

Re: Chinesium drive belts
I wouldn't trust them. There have been quite a few members in the past who tried them and regretted it when the belt shredded unexpectedly, after a short time, while on the road. Once that happens it is not a simple task to just open the side, swap the belt, close up and be on your way. Those belts ...

At least you won't get run over by a texting soccer mom while just going for coffee. Nice, quiet ride.

Re: riding without colliding
First of all, a scooter is really a motorcycle with an automatic transmission. You can be hurt just as easily as on a motorcycle. Next: I really enjoy my PCX, though my riding time is coming to a close. I learned a lot about safety as I moved from bike to bike. I was in the military much of the time...
