Re: Seat
Sorry Slickvic, I mean't a seat with a 'backrest' with more legroom. That said, your replacement seat is very nice.

Re: Seat
I can't help thinking that if powerbypcx dot com did a seat with a little more room for those of longer legs they would make a killing.

Re: Footpump - any recommendations?
Gn2 you surprise me. I haven't really been out on my PCX since December mostly because I've had the opportunity to get to work by train. I checked my front and it was at 24psi and the rear was 25psi. Pumping them up to 29psi & 31psi respectively was noticeably better - a much smoother ride if yo...

Footpump - any recommendations?
I've been using airlines at my local supermarket for a while but would like the convenience of a pump at home to top up my tyre pressures. Using my bicycle track pump on the front is a breeze but on the rear there is not so much room to use the hinged 'clip' mechanism as the rear hub gets in the way...

Re: more Seat hump woes
I think it's about time Honda addressed this issue. For me the hump is not a problem as far as my seating position but I don't like the water egress. It can't do the seat a lot of good being constantly damp. I think applying sealant would only work for a very short time too as constant movement of t...

Welcome HSF, you've got your PCX just in time for the nice weather (fingers crossed) She's a fine scooter, you'll enjoy her I'm sure.

Re: What laptop?
Thanks for the replies. A Macbook is a non-starter I'm afraid as I/we don't want to go with Apple. Something with plenty of capacity for 'her indoors' to do her union rep stuff (nothing too heavy) and for me to grab occasionally to use for forums like this, ebay, ancestry websites and sorting out my...

What laptop?
I tend to do most of my computing on a laptop nowadays. My old PC gave up the ghost a while back and I've had the use of an HP laptop for a while. I have very basic demands of a computer so would just require one for surfing, shopping, forums & emailing. FWIW I have mobile broadband/wi-fi and a ...

Re: Bike security - Locks?
I agree with Dave-out of sight, out of mind. My PCX lives outside and is always covered, but I live in a very quiet neighbourhood. I lock it up with a reasonably strong Oxford chain and padlock and keep everything off the floor. I also use a GripLock which is also very convenient if just nipping int...

Re: help me my pcx brethren! (fog light question)
"I think the PCX lights are absolutely terrible on those dark lonely roads." Strange you feel that way cessna151 as I ride on some seriously dark country lanes at unearthly hours and the first thing I noticed was how bright my lights were. I've had various bigger bikes and the PCX headligh...

Re: help me my pcx brethren! (fog light question)
I think the front lights on the PCX are pretty decent as it is. For me, extra illumination in fog tends to make things worse if anything as far as seeing the road ahead, they just light up the fog! If people can't see that headlight they really shouldn't be on the road (but they're out there I grant...

Re: Honda Forza 300
I see your point. Biketrader has advertised nice used Majesty 400s for decent money recenty. You can also save money buy snagging one with the extras you may need thrown in too. I just like riding or driving off dealer forecourts with a new vehicle though. But time taken looking for the ideal, well ...

Re: Honda Forza 300
At £4000-£4500 would you take it over an X10, Gn2? I must admit I do like the look of the Piaggio but Honda quality.....
Dealer location might be the deciding factor if it's a close run thing.

Honda Forza 300
Further to the discussions on the new Forza 300, a dealer in Colwyn Bay is taking orders on ebay for deposits for delivery in May
Price? £6,500
A bit too steep for me, what are your thoughts? I can't find an official Honda release on the price yet

Re: Designers of the PCX - Article
Obviously the Thai market took precedence though. The European/US market is so huge some consideration should have been given to riders in these areas. Don't get me wrong the PCX is a great little machine and I love mine but I'm a big, heavy bloke. There's not much point in canvassing riders in Bang...

Re: Finally Making Progress
Good work, I like your trunk (topbox in the UK). I'd be interested to see a pic of the full bike. Regarding the 12v socket, was it an easy job? I'm not really very good at auto-electrics so would be interested in a run-through of how you did it. Thanks for posting this, it's always good to see what ...
