Re: The Wave ...Obsolete ??
We mostly all wave but it depends on how many riders are out. Lots of riders, too much waving. If you go to a bike festival you get an assumed wave.

Re: PCX Speedo inaccuracy
The Honda world bikes in the USA have speedos which are pretty much dead on. Most other markets get speedos which are intentionally high by 8% to appease the lawyers and insurance companies so that no rider can ever argue that they crashed because they were going faster than what the speedo displaye...

Re: PCX seat hump removal
Okay, I like this post a lot. I've completed the humpectomy, but I still have a little problem with the seat. Did you cut away the plastic hump mounts from the seat pan underneath where the hump bolted on? And you still can't get comfortable? You should be able to sit all the way back on the passen...

Re: Honda X-ADV
No one in the USA will pay $13,000 for that bike. The NC700X has sold very slowly at $7,700.

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT
Problem is, there's only one (trans-mission) speed to play with on a CVT scooter. You let it rev more freely at low vehicule speeds, and voilà it overrevs at high speeds (since it was normally built to reach top revs at reacheable top speed). I wouldn't fool around with these, just make sure they'r...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT
So why mix sliders of different weights unless you really wanted 18gm and they don't make them. Try all of the 17gm and see what you get>Atabone wrote:So I just installed the 17gr and 19gr slider mix,

Re: How many of you actually RIDE in the RAIN?
It was a thunder storm of snow. Cars were pulling over for lack of vision. Luckily I could see on the radar that it would blow over and it was still above freezing so it didn't pile up in the road. . . https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/12809713_989529181126194_4741327007841266788_n.jpg?o...

Re: Why do I get better MPG when it is hot?
Normally aspirated engines make more peak power with cold intake air because they can breath in a denser air/ fuel charge. But it is not more efficient if part of that heat is used to heat up the cold air. And cold air and rain is more dense to ride through, so more drag.

Re: Why do I get better MPG when it is hot?
Very easy to answer. All internal combustion engines are more efficient in hot weather. Less of the fuel's energy is wasted in heating up the incoming air.

I had my first spill today. Driving a few blocks to the grocery store while I was on my lunch break. I was driving past an auto dealership that always puts balloons out and they used some large heavy duty balloons today and the wind pulled one of the balloons across the road. I'm driving along arou...

Re: Gears for higher top speed
The limit that you feel is not based on speed. It's the rev limiter at 9,600 rpm. If you increase the overall gearing with a bigger variator or sliders you can get more speed. Especially downhill or with a tailwind where you do no run out of power first.

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT
As far as I can recall, peak torque on the Forza 300 is around 6500rpm so having the engine in that range will yield the best acceleration. Fuel consumption was most affected by wind strength and direction, it could drop quite significantly into a headwind. Three tankfulls perhaps isn't a long enou...

Re: is the pcx a pos?
22,000 miles on my PCX. I've only had to replace the belt. And I did do a new OEM variator at that time as well to make sure I could get the best top speed out of my sliders. Never had any problem with the clutch bearing.
