Re: PCX -- The Attraction

I've never owned a motorcycle. I wanted to purchase a scooter and went to the one and only dealer in town. They carried Honda and Yamaha and, when I saw the PCX it just looked like what I wanted. I've got to say that riding it does make you smile. It does make ya smile. Can't wait to get mine. Have...

As Captain Jim said "It makes me smile".
I also suffered from the mine is bigger than yours complex, regarding motorcycles.

Re: Getting started here, looking forward to meeting new peo

I've hiked it 4 times. In fact Franconia Notch was the first place I ever went camping as a kid. So beautiful up there. I just remember thinking the stars were fake! Growing up in NY, I never saw the sky as it really is. The closest I ever came was at the Hayden Planetarium in NYC. So when I went ca...

Re: New member, here's some pix!

Hi all! I live near Williamsport, PA -- out in the "boonies" away from the city. Glad everyone likes my seat! :) I have sort of long legs even though I'm only 5'10" so I had the shop place the hump a little farther back and they added extra padding. Instead of feeling like I was push...

Re: Decision between PCX and S-Wing

Me I would be wanting a newer one with ABS. Here's a nice black one in Redhill http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikes-for-sale/searchresults/detail/Honda/S-WING-125/2012/_/R-NXGN-7603094?mfy=58.972334 Great, thanks again for that. Re: Decision between PCX and S-Wing

Are the intervals between check ups chiseled in stone? Or just suggestions? I know many were bummed about the 2500 mile check ups of the PCX. But I know many who scoffed at it too as not necessary. Definitely get it checked. But every 2500 miles? I don't think that is mandatory. If you take care of ...

Re: Riding double...

The dreaded helmet hair. When I got the PCX mine was really long and got really messed up but its short now so stays neater. I used to be a long haired surfer dude. Not good for helmet head. But since buzzing my hair short, helmet head is not an issue anymore. Plus I save a ton of $$ on shampoo &am...

Re: Decision between PCX and S-Wing

Ah...I see. I thought S-Wing was short for SilverWing. The S-Wing isn't available here in the states so I just assumed. I googled the S-Wing. Looks nice. But i still like the look of the PCX better. To me the PCX look is that perfect blend of a maxi scooter with a sport bike. The S-Wing just looks l...

Yeah, I'm not sure if you are confusing the silver wing with another scoot, cause the silver wing is HUGE! I saw one in a showroom yesterday, and it looked like a friggin truck. Lol

Re: New member - new scoot

But now that I'm back in the states, I'm scooter-less. Argh! :-( Gotta remedy that pronto. All my local dealers are out of PCXs and the wait is killin me. There are a couple of nice ones that have come on the forum lately. You could save some $'s by buying used. Distance might be a problem though. ...
