Re: Puncture

Glad to hear you got 5,000 miles on the rear tire/tyre PT63. I had the impression that they might only be good for about 4,000 miles, and I admit I'm not looking forward to getting them off and changed. It would be nice if they worked just like a bicycle with quick release and small nylon bicycle ti...

Re: Puncture

PT63- I'm very interested to hear how you like the Michelin tires, and how well they wear so be sure to report back when you have more information. How many miles did you get from your original tires before you had to replace them?

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

Our new Givi windscreen (the short one) is a huge improvement and I can't imagine keeping the OEM version! The wind still hits my shoulders and helmet, but I no longer feel like I'm fighting to keep my hands on the bars. I'd have to say that it isn't much help for cold hands however. Maddiedog- have...

Re: Fav PCX video

I just came back from errands a few minutes ago and that video makes me want to hop back on my PCX and ride some more. I think I know why you chose a black one now (besides the fact that black looks cool ;) ).

Motorcyclist's Best Friend

I just saw this youtube video and had to post it here.

Trying to embed the video, but perhaps I'm missing something here

Maddie is still my favorite motorcycle riding dog, but this is a close second.

Re: Last time I do THAT

I hope that the damage is very minor; post a few photos if you get the chance. It makes me think that I should probably always use the center stand when I'm out running errands. Luckily it is really easy to use the center stand on this bike.

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

Our Givi arrived on Friday and we installed it yesterday. Thanks for the how-to Maddiedog that made it very easy! I'd like to add one detail that helped us. We initially had a tough time removing the plastic panel until we pulled out our trusty plastic bike tire levers. They were the perfect tool to...

I saw that photo in your June trip report, but for some reason Skuuter's photos look like he has the place to himself ;) It really does look like a motorcyclist paradise.

Re: "SMOKIES"...Always a Great PCX Ride...

Are there lots of motorcyclists/scooters in your area Skuuter? It looks like a fabulous place to ride but I don't see any other vehicles on the road :o Thanks for the fabulous pictures; I may come back to gaze at them during winter when there is ice on the roads and I'm not getting out on my PCX.

Re: New Favorite Drink

In our house it is Trader Joe's Stockyard Oatmeal Stout. We like the beers you can't see through. Also look forward to all the winter beers this time of year. Samuel Adams Winter packs at Costco are usually a good deal and last year's Chocolate Bock variety of Samual Adams was surprisingly good.

Re: Our Bike Garage from the Past.....

Eight bikes?! That would be way too much maintenance for me but it looks like a fun stable. I like the idea of a pair of PCX's . Only one maintenance schedule to keep track of for both of them 8) . We might pick up a second one at some point, but then the Burgman would have to go  Our garage is...

Really cool that you can fix it up so quickly. Post pictures when you can, and that goes for Maddiedog too! I want to see what his Buddy 125 looks like all fixed up.

Nader is quite the handsome chicken! I can't imagine holding a chicken for any length of time, much less holding onto one while driving. Chickens aren't known for being the smartest of creatures  , but I found them to be exceedingly well suited for outdoor pets. Easy to manage for the most par...

Here is a photo of our most recent pets. We are currently looking into getting a cat, but there are bobcats and coyotes where we live so it would need to be an indoor cat.......and I haven't figured out how to deal with the scratching.

Re: Ideas on Christmas presents for my Dad?

You could also do the labor the first time, or help your Dad unless he is the type of person who likes to do it all himself. I'd be really happy if someone did a first class wash & wax on my car. Sadly, it generally is me or it doesn't get done. Our cars are not nearly as well loved as our scoot...
