Re: Advice on Jacket/Trousers
That's a great help, thanks.
What I have mainly learnt is that if I buy the right product then I can use it in the summer and winter, which will save me money.

Re: Motorcycle Helmets
http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/213488 This is the one I actually bought. The service was good. It is comfy but pretty heavy and it is giving me a bit of neck ache, which is probably expected until I get used to it. I pull out the cheek wings to get it on and off but it...

Re: Advice on Jacket/Trousers
Cheers, will investigate them, maybe pick up a cheapish one on Ebay. So, protection for the elbow and shoulders is paramount, with some form of back proptection a sensible addition. What about trousers? My golf/ski trousers do not offer any protection in the case of a slide so do I need to look for ...

Advice on Jacket/Trousers
Hi The last thing on my shopping list is a jacket and trousers. I am currently using my waterproof golf trousers and a ski jacket :? I never see scooter riders in full leather sports bike gear so I assume it is de rigeur to ride lesser clothing, so obviously less safe but more fashionable. However, ...

Re: Motorcycle Helmets
I started off looking at cheap helmets, then i realised that a modular/flipup helmet was the most practical and then I got seduced by the bluetooth funtionality so I ended up buying a Lazer Paname Z-Line with Lazer Link. It does seem to make a lot of noise at 50+ but then I just turn the music up! :...

Re: Got my new 2015MY PCX 125 today!
Had my first 'moment'.... :? I was avidly reading riding tips on YouTube the night before I got my scooter and one thing that stood out was AVOID draincovers in the wet. When I could see them I went to the side of them. However, I came to a roundabout (Americans may need to google it ;) ) and was tu...

Re: My first 500 miles...
Of course, you are absolutely right. They have balanced off power for economy and IMO they were right to do so. The PCX is aimed at the local commuter or urban/leisure user and the power and speed is more than enough. One could theoretically adjust it back the other way but I personally would never ...

Re: My first 500 miles...
Sweet - just got mine to day. Love it already. Dealer said the 600 mile service should cost around 100 quid. The power and speed seems fine and the mileage is great so out of curiosity why would you want to change anything on the scooter, such as the exhaust? Also, would it affect the warranty and/o...

Re: Security
Picked my new PCX up today and they are indeed on all the frame components.
You also get some stickers which can be placed in a few places on the bike to tell potential thieves that you have this form of security - it all helps..
