Re: Something's not right

No, i was never able to hit the rev limiter on flat ground. I'm lucky to see 60 on flat ground. I was talking about going down hill to physically feel the bike bouncing off the rev limiter.

Re: Something's not right

Not sure how changing the oil would affect a rev limiter Exactly. I think the dealer did something to my bike intentionally/unintentionally or something happened at about the same time. The receipt only shows an oil change. Who knows. I just want it fixed. The bike is and has always been bone stock...

Something's not right

I bought my 150 new last year. When i got it everything was great. MPG was in the 90's and i was hitting the rev limiter at 72 MPH (speedo is dead on at all speeds according to GPS). Then the 600 mile mark came and i decided to have the dealer change the oil. I noticed immediately afterwards that i ...

I'd like to see that! Particularly where you crossed the Mississippi river on the return trip. Crossing around St. Louis seems fairly intimidating to me on such a bike.

Correct. The slower you go the better the mpg, until the clutch starts slipping of course.

Life is too short
Agreed! :D However, it is the most direct answer to the OP's question.

Re: What is the most gas-efficient speed?

The highest mpg occurs at the lowest speed possible that keeps the clutch fully engaged. Any faster than that is a compromise between speed and mpg; higher speed-lower mpg, slower speed-higher mpg. Isn't the clutch fully engaged at just over walking speed? Correct. The slower you go the better the ...

Re: Release date for new PCX in Thailand.

New dash??? No seat hump??? Are we looking at the same video????

The seat hump is still there, they just put the cover over it to make it one solid piece.

As for the dash, what's the difference?

Re: Cornering center stand issue

Also if you are turning from a level road onto an uphill road it will strike much more easily. The uphill road effectively increases the lean angle causing the center stand to drag. I've been surprised a couple times by this.

Re: One year ago......

A year ago this week I purchased a 2013 PCX150 and could not be happier with my purchase. In said past year I've put over 14,000 trouble free miles. Way to go! I thought i had the highest mileage 150 on the forum at 9800 miles, bought in Aug. 2012. I'm glad somebody has enjoyed it as much as i have...

My garmin nuvi 855 has the feature to plan routes. Works pretty good for me. It's on page 13 of the manual: http://static.garmincdn.com/pumac//nuvi ... Manual.pdf

Re: Torque Wrench

I can't really advise on whether or not to use one but i can say that, having recently changed the oil using my torque wrench, had i not used it i would have definitely over tightened both bolts. The established torque values in the service manual are much less than i would have expected.

Re: Dowco or Nelson Rigg Cover? Other? Size?

I bought the medium dowco scooter cover at first based on a review that it would fit but it DOES NOT . I had to return it for a large. I don't have a windshield or top box. The large fits snug. There might be room for a medium windshield but not a tall one and there is no room for a top box. Get the...

Re: PCX150 service schedule and brakes?

hmm, i didn't think i would be alone in saying i think CBS is dangerous and i don't like it one bit. When you lock up the rear tire the bike has a severe tendency to drift sideways due to the CBS front brake being applied simultaneously. This effect is especially dangerous when on gravel or wet road...
