Re: Woolley's PCX

I double checked and it is 30 days in Washington state; I remember it was a bit of a hassle during a busy time although they were really nice. A shock coming from the long lines at the California DMV. They even asked me if my picture was okay or if I wanted to re-take it  Definitely not in Cali...

Re: What a day

That makes sense to me Maddie, but I guess I can't understand why they'd put a speed limiter in.....unless they are worried about stability & lawsuits at faster speeds.......

Re: Woolley's PCX

Other states would have to honor it. If you move to another state however you generally have a period of time (30 days?) to get your driver's license and vehicle registration at the new state. I'd guess that you might have to take the written tests again, but probably not a skills test. That is what...

Re: Woolley's PCX

Just to add to what Maddie said, it does vary a bit state to state. In Washington state you can take the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) Basic Rider course, which is a combination of classroom and skills training and you take both a written and skills test. The class takes place on a Thursday eve...

Re: Awesome TV series

We don't watch much TV but we do subscribe to Netflix for movies etc. Last weekend we streamed "The Parking Lot Movie". A very offbeat documentary.

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

Cli-Max ships from Texas, but you may find that the price is cheaper there on the Givi windscreen even with sales tax because they only charge $11.98 for shipping. As for the hand protection, it might be worth it to have that integrated. I ordered my Givi before I realized that it could be an option...

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

I see it; thank you! I'll have to see what else we might need in the near future to make the shipping a bit more reasonable. Too bad we don't need an oil filter, but I'm sure there is something....

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

Where would you recommend getting one? Is that something best purchased at a local dealer? I'm an online sort of shopper most of the time :geek:

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

I haven't had a chance to call, but I just found an email in my inbox that said it has shipped! :D I know one project for the upcoming weekend and I'm looking forward to it. At least, I think it will be here by the weekend. FedEx has it, but isn't giving an delivery estimate yet.

Re: What a day

So does the PCX have a speed limiter instead of a rev limiter? I don't think I'm likely to hit 60 on the local roads because the speed limits are generally 35-40 maximum and the roads aren't in the best condition. The only time I hit the maximum throttle is going up hills, where the PCX works hard t...

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

I ordered it on Oct 25th. They did send an email that said: "Recently GIVI opted to cease drop shipments to customers through indirect dealers like Cli-MAX Riding Gear. In order for us to continue to provide great prices on GIVI items our company must order directly from GIVI, and receive the i...

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

I've ordered one from Cli-max too, and I'm waiting....waiting.... I tried to give the stock windscreen a fair chance and I liked the look, but with the temperatures falling wind protection seems much more important :o . How long did it take before they shipped yours Felix?

Thank you Maddiedog for setting up this new forum. It looks great and it was easy to find ;) Having a forum for PCX enthusiasts without a commercial sponsor or interests is a huge plus.

Re: Winter gloves

We've bought our gloves at motorcyclegear.com. They have some really good closeout deals, and regular prices are usually discounted from list. Here is the current selection: http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street/closeouts/gloves/ I wear a pair of Speed and Strength "Hell and Back" gloves. T...
