Re: Lowering the Forza
you could look at having the seat modified and take some foam out and have it slimmed a little at the same time.

Re: Supporting scoot while removing front wheel
I do something similar and use a ratchet strap over the garage roller door support bracketMel46 wrote:I cheat. I have an I-beam in my basement that goes the length of it and helps hold up the house. I can just throw a rope over it and attach the ends to the handle bars.

Re: swap handlebar for new seat??
its not too hard to swap handlebars, only issues are cable lengths and the locator tabs on the back of the switchgear. its easy to grind off the tabs and then glue the switchgear to the bars. the stock cables have a bit of length to play with so shouldnt be much of an issue unless you get some harle...

Re: New to the forum - still deciding what scooter to get
The 125 scooters you should be looking at are: S-wing 125, X-max 125, Joymax 125, Downtown 125 and CityStar 125 The fast ones are the CityStar and the Xmax, both of which have the maximum 15bhp (almost 50% more than a PCX) and will do a genuine 70mph. The PCX and SH will not do 70, realistically 60...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
if you were to use a 64mm piston you wouldnt have much metal left in the bore at all, using a 62mm slug you will still have 195cc and a much safer engine. you would of course have to use the yuminashi cylinder kit.

Re: Mods on the cheap
if you are changing the grips, change the throttle tube to a smooth one as the stock honda one has ridges to suit the stock honda grips. it could also pay to get a quick throttle tube to reduce the amount you need to twist the throttle.

Re: New seat from powerbypcx
you will need to scavenge some bits off your old seat like nuts and rubber bumpstops. be careful doing up the nuts as the bolts arent the best quality metal and shear fairly easily.

try checking the exhaust mounts and the exhaust protection cover, these can rattle and make a bit of noise.

Re: How to remove PCX body panels
most of the body panels are very easy to remove, just time consuming. they are suprisingly flexible in parts but do be careful. I recommend buying some plastic body panel tools as it makes the prying part easier. The service manual is very straightforward as far as what action to use to remove the p...

Re: another week off, more perfectly good parts replaced.
OCD is right on the money! Exhaust has made a small difference combined with quality air filter (DNA), just remember to disconnect the battery when messing with the exhaust or intake so the ECU can relearn. I chose the Kitaco exhaust as they were one of the only companies that display a dyno result....

another week off, more perfectly good parts replaced.
My pile of aftermarket parts is slowly dwindling as I find the time to fit them to the pcx.(sidenote: my pile of hardly used oem parts is growing rapidly) I had fitted a very nice set of Hardy handlebars but had to remove them due to the throttle cable and brakelines clashing with bodywork, I will s...
