Re: Broke my left leg, gear ideas?

Take your time and let it heal. In light humor, chances are that your next crash or two will hurt less. Don't get discouraged. Get back out there and keep your speed up.

Re: Best drive face option?

That would be the valve cover vacuum line. Install a breather on the end of the vacuum line or directly on the valve cover I needed. The further the better simply because of the oil coming into the airbox. In theory less or no oil is good but also vacuum on the crankcase is a good thing. We use to j...

Re: Broke my left leg, gear ideas?

New parts for are scoots are ungodly cheap. You could buy all the plastics on the bike prepainted for the cost of a gallon of the three stage paint. It's not cheap paint at all. In another example, I replaced and had both tires mounted for less than the cost of a gallon of the three stage red. Last ...

Re: PCX 150 Engine Removal

I've done valve stem seals on several cars with the heads on. I'm just curious if the cam can be swaped without draining the coolant system. I'm using a takegawa cam so I don't need to replace the valve springs. This is a straight forward can swap.

PCX 150 Engine Removal

How long does it actually take to remove the engine for a cam swap or should I try it with the engine installed?

Re: Broke my left leg, gear ideas?

Stay away from the edges of the road, Michelin City Grips in the stock size instead of IRC tires (multiple people on the cbr250r forum have had issues with irc tires as well), keep your speed up and your legs up. We can only do so much on two wheels but every little thing helps.

All vehicles get a little bit of spark nock BUT it's most likely just your rollers bouncing around in light acceleration.

Check with your local dealer on the plastics. They are much cheaper than you'd expect.

Also my dealer seems to adjust my rear brake too tight for my liking. Has it been recently serviced?

I think most of us have left the parking brake on at least once. Could that be it?

Re: PCX150 stiffer front fork springs

Is the Daytona spring smaller in diameter or just shorter? If its just shorter you should install it anyway. A shorter stiffer spring could still give you the same compressed height... I lowered my front 1" with the Takegawa reinforced lowering springs.

Re: Dragging

Your on a scooter and the clutch is engauged until you get below 10mph. This means its the same as being in a manual transmission car in say first gear at 5000-6000 rpm and letting off the gas while leaving it in gear. The same thing will happen. Does that make any sense? We call it engine braking. ...

Daytona variator, Advance Pro drive face, 12g sliders, takegawa silent sport exhaust, takegawa FIcon2, K&N r-1100 filter on 1.5" I.D. intake hose. 79mph on road, 81mph on stand. 80-82mpg cruising at 70mph. Thinking about heavier weights as I think it can do more. On a PCX 150 using a KN Pla...

Re: PCX150 stiffer front fork springs

there are two pinch bolts on the top of the front forks. Take a picture of what you are having problems with to show us so we can help. There is a video on youtube of this. The fork caps have a snap ring in them. I compressed the caps with my fingers and then poped out the snap ring with a screw dri...

Anyone consider if they want to steal your helmet they'll just cut the straps??? I wear a Shoei RF 1200. I'll take it with me thank you very much. Re: Larger rear tire: does it change speedo?

I installed a 140/70-14 on my pcx and the speedo rea slower than real speed by 1.5-2 mph but I lost 10mpg and 5mph in top speed AND performance. The wider tire is nice I you ride below 60mph. If you ride above that don't change sizes.

You say nobody will tell you what to check but we are telling you the normal things that cause this. Again, how long did this happen after you changed to the sliders? How old is your air filter? How many miles on the scoot now?
