Re: Dismount to fuel up ??

How is it a fire hazard if you're sitting on the bike exactly? as for the bike remaining more level when on the centre stand, I find having two legs the same length you can manage that job fairly easily... you're also looking right down the nozzle so theres no danger of over fill.

Dismount to fuel up ??

I've never been asked to dismount while fuelling up until today at an ESSO garage, being a lazy git I've always just sat on the bike, I asked the guy if this was a new rule but no its always been the case he said, even though i've fuelled there before and not been asked. Anyone else come across this...

I find them least likely to wave also, maybe its the upright riding position which encourages a snobby stuck up attitude

After them its probably fat guys on sports bikes!

from the seat hump thread - After trying a few different methods I can finally say the only thing that really worked was sugru self setting rubber, even after a heavy downpour or leaving the bike out all night in the rain, the next day you can be confident of nothing seeping through and giving you a...

Water proof seat hump

After trying a few different methods I can finally say the only thing that really worked was sugru self setting rubber, even after a heavy downpour or leaving the bike out all night in the rain, the next day you can be confident of nothing seeping through and giving you a soggy behind. Its even heat...

MPG cars vs Bikes

I've always thought why are'nt bike mpg's a lot better than cars, they seem to be about the same, if anything cars seem to be better than bikes these days, take for example a fairly big car like the Peugeot 508 it has an mpg of 67 whereas in general any big bike will struggle to get anything near th...

I've just had to pay £30 "administration fee" for changing my address....£30 for what?, printing out a new document and sending it through the bloody post? I've also have to fork out £20 to renew my license, honestly, the amount of bureaucratic shite one has to deal with these days is beyo...

Yamaha Mt-07

As soon as I can afford it I was going to go for either the Honda CB500F or X, probably the X as it looks more practical....then this Yamaha comes along and apparently blows everything else out of the water..

I dont think I could ride a scooter with that pizza delivery or 'granny' look (Honda SH125)
It has to have the same stlying lines of the PCX or its a non starter, so to speak.

No joy with the WD40 and key switching....giving the button a good hit with the handle end of a screwdriver made it pop open tho, hardly ideal but it works :?

Re: Fuel cap hassle

The problem is the fuel button you push to release the flip up lid (same as the seat button but opposite direction), basically when trying to push the button in it wont 'push in' and so the lid wont flip up (key was in correct position!), like I said I had to force it with a screwdriver to lever it ...

Anyone else had a problem with the button release mechanism ? I had to use a screwdriver to prize it open before and couldnt open it last night at the petrol station either.
