Re: Warning to those changing the gear/transmission oil.
Any maintenance should be carried out only after having carefully prepared for the job. Check the facts in the manual and acquire required tools. Is it so hard to google or search in this forum? A hundred years experience with auto maintenance is of no use if you rush and choose to ignore manufactu...

Re: Warning to those changing the gear/transmission oil.
I'll be better prepared next time. Good thing I looked into the fill hole and was suspicious of the actual oil level.

Re: Warning to those changing the gear/transmission oil.
Feeding the oil into the vent hose on the top, with a syringe, or oil can might be the easiest way. Then, any oil coming out the fill hole is extra oil. Sure is hard to do thing with out the proper tools. What ever is used to fill it needs to be smaller than the fill hole or one will get a false ind...

Warning to those changing the gear/transmission oil.
I have been a automotive technician for well over 14 years and filling the transmission oil is kicking my ass! I admit that I do not have the proper equipment at my house for the job. One can not just pour the oil in obviously.. so than after a trip to the store to try and find something to use (was...

Re: First fill up MPG
Its also good that the PCX only requires regular 87 octane, the Fly 50 requires premium. I'm fairly conservative when I ride hardly ever used more than 1/2 throttle

First fill up MPG
I recorded 93MPG, mostly city riding, part of the time riding 2up. Thats better mileage than my previous Piaggio fly 50! Three times the engine size, three times the power, better MPG. This was also using E10 fuel.

Re: Best pcx 150 exhaust?
For me (though I plan in keeping my PCX stock)I would get the arrow exhaust with the built in catalytic converter to be legal and emissions friendly, don't know about power. Yoshimura has dyno charts on their site.

what was the issue with the center stand? only 125?
I have seen a few posts mentioning issues with the center stand. What was the issue, and was it only with the 125?

Re: How is the scooter "culture" in your area?
:| ..... 80% of what I see on the road are poor, poor neglected mopeds that the owner does not really care about what it looks like (or what they look like, had some heavy dude with shorts and no shirt pull up next to me at a stop light on a little moped) and likely does no maintenance. Than there a...

Re: Went for the red PCX!
The parking brake operation requires a properly adjusted rear brake. Spec is 10-20mm free travel. Mine was too loose so the p brake never worked. Have it set to about 15mm handle free play and parking brake works great!

Magnetic oil drain plug
Any one install a Magnetic engine oil drain plug on their 125/150? I have one from these people coming in. http://www.drainplugmagnets.com/hondamotorcycles.php Seem's to be high quality, though expensive. It bugs me that there is no true oil filter on these engines! these magnets would likely pick u...

New PCX 150 owner, Hawaii
After riding a 2012 Piaggio Fly 50 for 1/2 a year or so I decided to upgrade. At first my choice was going to be the new 2014 Fly 150 but, the local dealer for Piaggio isnt the best to deal with (long story) and, seem to buy left over stock from another dealer because they seem to be one year behind...
