Re: Prevent scooter falling over

I agree, most sport bike riders are racers & not cruisers. They account for the most wrecks & deaths than all the other bikes put together. As long as the young keep buying, the brands will keep selling. Of the sport bike riders I know, none of them go for a leisurely ride, they find a curv...

Re: Centrestand woes.... sound familiar...?

I'm expecting two digits extended vertically... Have you considered just buying a new bike? From the pictures you put of it on the centre stand how to thread, the bike looks in pretty poor condition after the amount of use you have had out of it and now with the cost of getting the centre stand fix...

It is normal; it is about breaking in; what I got: -0-200 km ........fuel consumption=2,64 L/100 km....~ 93 mileage -200-300 km.....fuel consumption=2,22 L/100 km.....~107 mileage I have only 300 km and the maximum speed was 50km/h; next 100 km I will touch 60 km/h... As I mentioned in my opening p...

Re: Centrestand woes.... sound familiar...?

I'm getting a bit concerned now about so many reported centre stand issues. I use mine every day and I'm just waiting for something to go wrong with it.

If you want to waft along floating on a pillow of air you'll need something much bigger and far more expensive.
Ok cheers. Good to know that its normal as I wasnt sure if there was something wrong with the suspension.

Very bumpy ride on the pcx!

i love my pcx but if I did have one complaint it would be the rather bumpy ride. I find that if Im riding on a road that is anything other than completely flat, I'm bouncing up and down like a jack in the box! I seem to feel every bump in the road. Is this normal for scooters or is the suspension on...

Re: Prevent scooter falling over

I always have mine on the centre stand apart from when its in the garage. Its much more secure this way. With it being such a light bike, I would be worried about it blowing over if it was on the side stand. I believe this is the reason that light motorcycles have centre stands.

Re: Increasing mpg with each fill up?

I seem to be getting increased mpg after each fill up. I have done 5 fill ups since I bought the bike and the total miles I have been getting from each fill up had been as follows. 130, 140, 141, 143, 146. Are you saying you run it completely out of gas for each fill up? If not then the mileage on ...

Re: 2011 PCX 125 top speed?

A lot of comparisons here between the 125 and the 150. How does the 150 perform mpg and overall cost wise? The 125 is absolutely staggering in terms of mpg. How does the 150 compare?

I have done 5 fill ups since I bought the bike and the total miles I have been getting from each fill up had been as follows. 130, 140, 141, 143, 146. Re: Hello Out There!

Hi Kim, welcome aboard PCXer! To tell you the truth, I see gusty winds and I change my plans. Because I can. I do not commute to/from work. All for pleasure and at comfortable and joyful speed, say 45-50. Though I'd like having the extra power to go 65 for those now and then faster roads. So do tel...

Phone holder for Galaxy note 2 please

Hi, Can anybody recommend where I can buy a cheap phone holder compatible with a galaxy note 2? Ive noticed that with the pcx that the middle part of the handlebar where I would like to put the holder is touching the round piece behind it so it would seem that the standard holders Ive seen would not...

You could have point though about doing 50, maybe this is safer for them to overtake etc. only problem is, you have to be on the motorway longer at 50 as opposed to 60

Servicing

Apologies if a thread already exists on this topic but I couldnt find one. Can anyone give me the low down on servicing please. I have the following questions: 1). Re: New member - planning to get a UK PCX125 - advice?

I dont see an issue in taking the pcx on motorways or dual carriageways You say you don't, but in fact you do: 60mph is an acceptable speed A PCX 125 can't stay in front of HGVs, they will be overtaking you or sitting on your tail. No fun at all. I have found the best policy is sit at 50 which give...

Re: New member - planning to get a UK PCX125 - advice?

I dont see an issue in taking the pcx on motorways or dual carriageways as long as you dont have to be on them for too long. Just because the speed limit is 70mph doesnt mean you have to do 70. 60mph is an acceptable speed (although will use more fuel than at slower speeds) and the pcx can do 60 jus...
