Re: godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

Exactly right uploader..fortunately for me the place I did my CBT training had a PCX for training on...so I was able to take my CBT on the bike I wanted to buy as soon as I passed it.

Re: godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

Sorry to hear your plight, I think most places charge a nominal fee for extra training. I must admit, on a large roundabout I took a more direct route to the third exit (straight on) rather than following round properly...I had a bollocking for it, learned my lesson and like the two others on the da...

Re: Lost my hump for £30

thats great news - you will be kicking yourself you didnt do it sooner! Re the foam they just put some over the holes and built it up a little bit as far as i can see. As its now recovered I cant see how much exactly but most of these places are well used to recovering and repacking furniture etc s...

Re: Lost my hump for £30

I have found a place less than a mile away from my home! Going to go an enquire next week, already fed up with that uncomfortable hump rest. V4 what did they do about the hole filling in? Is there not a hole all the way through when you remove the bolts from the hump which would mean unless circles ...

Re: Anyone added any supplementary lighting?

I think adding extra lights just makes your bike look too bling and cheap personally!

If you have a top box, add reflective strips to it, make sure you have reflective clothing, let the cages light you up like a christmas tree rather than lighting your bike up like one I say.

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Thank you all! Figurehead71 - I've looked at the Xena disc lock alarm, but have read that I can be set off by heavy rain / wind etc. Have you experienced this yourself? I have not had the problem with sensitivity (yet) myself, if you are careful enough you can put the key in and unlock even without...

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Welcome, and all the best with your CBT on Saturday...you will be fine with it I am sure. I do not have a garage either, however the landlord does not mind me drilling, also what they don't know about wont hurt them. Have you considered drilling a "ground" anchor into the wall rather than ...

Unless you get it Honda approved serviced and your service book stamped I am pretty sure you would invalidate your 2 year warranty.

I think all this talk of various heights of windshields causing more problems, and some being aesthetic marmite I am inclined to want to stick with my original windshield and just battle my way through the British weather. 8)

Re: Givi wind screen

I don't understand why Givi and especially Honda make these short windshields. Practically useless imho. Right about chin height seems PERFECT (obviously everyone's chin is different, but you can always cut down a tall screen, as I did) And I have a number of chins.... http://i.ytimg.com/vi/J4NpfHp...

Re: If anyone can answer this, it's probably you guys!!!

Had my eSP PCX 125 5 weeks now, cannot say I have had any problem with any shaking, very smooth. Seeing you have already taken it to the dealer, explained and they have "removed a part and did something" this suggests they at least have acknowledged a shaking problem themselves. I would re...

Re: Givi/Kappa Monolock Mount Drill Holes

Thanks for the responses guys. @C-Note...come to think of it, when I was first looking at PCX's a second hand one in the Honda Dealer had a top box mount fitted, I remember looking at it and it having what looked like compressed foam over each leg. If it is of no trouble I would not mind a picture f...

Givi/Kappa Monolock Mount Drill Holes

After some advice from anyone (and I am sure there are quite a few on here) that has installed a Givi E231 bracket. I installed it with minimal fuss a few days ago (even managed not to crack the tail plastics) however with having to drill out the holes for the overpriced bracket to go into I am left...

Re: How to protect my scooter over winter?

I concur with what Bill says, very good advice. After only recently passing my CBT my confidence is not exactly brimming and it is with some hesitation that I want to take a ride out over the winter months, but know for gaining experience it really is necessary...obviously snow and ice is a no, but ...

Re: Brake lights in top box

I have just bought a secondhand Kappa K35, cleaned it all up, degreased the mechanism and both the baseplate and the lock mechanism are manufactured by Givi...would not surprise me if the whole units are. Anyway, the same as the Givi cases with the "fake" brake reflector/tail lights. By un...

Re: New Mirrors

The Mirror Extenders that you have on the bike look like they already give clearance to your screen, I would have thought the stock PCX mirrors would have been fine threaded into those and with no ball joint to worry about no noise vibration. I am contemplating buying a set of 10mm mirror riser/exte...
