Re: valve adjustment

I know they told me that I had a year from the date that I purchase the scooter to buy the extended warranty. The one that I was going to get was good at any dealer in the US but not in Canada or Mexico. I will never go back to where I bought my PCX from. I never knew that there was another Honda de...

Re: Honda 2015 NM4

I'm not crazy about it. It kindof reminds me of something that Batman might ride. I do think it is going after that special motorcyclist. It might not be for everyone. I too respect your professional and personal opinions. I went out looking for a larger scooter and sat on the ones I had on my list ...

Re: Chinese PCX copy

I agree with you Mel. Before I bought the PCX I looked at other cheaper scooters and the reason I bought a Honda was their reputation, amount of dealers nationwide and the easy to get parts. I think I would pass but you know what a deal until it breaks.

Re: It's Electric!

It looks awesome. I know a couple years ago the hubby was looking at an electric motorcycle although I'm not sure which one he was looking at. Cost won out and now he rides a big cruiser.

Re: Burgman 200

When I was out last Saturday I saw the Burgman 200 as well, but I didn't sit on it because I 'm looking at something at least 400cc and up. I did notice that it was much lower then the PCX and had a wider seat which I would like both but since I didn't sit on it I couldn't comment on the leg room. I...

Re: Slow take off from stop till 15-20mph

That is similar to what happened to me and it was the belt. At the time it only had 400 miles on the scooter. When they opened it up they found out that there was extra lube (from the factory in my case) that got on the belt. Although I did have a belt squeal until after 20 mph. Let us know if you f...

Re: valve adjustment

I know that when I took mine in for the first oil change and service that they had the whole thing apart. I know because I got there earlier then they expected and it was apart. They did say that the valves did need adjustments but it was still within Honda's specs. Be careful some dealers will char...

Re: Honda TopBox on my PCX125 2014 model

Looks nice. I never really go far so I don't need a top box. Although I did find whats called a smugglers trunk for the Yamaha Majesty from Corbin (http://www.corbin.com/yamaha/ymjsty4smug.shtml) that looks neat. Since I never take a passenger this would work for me. The only problem is that it is v...

Re: So, I dropped my bike. A cautionary tale.

Nines, you were lucky. I forgot to put the kickstand down and at the last min tried to put it down like a dummy and the motorcycle landed on my foot and I broke it. I'm glad that you are okay other then a few bumps and scrapes. I'm sure your pride is more damaged then anything else. The accident I h...

Re: My days as a PCX owner might be numbered

Right now I have only 900 miles on it. I will keep both chucktuna and vamootsman in mind if I decide to sell. Right now I need to get back to work from my injury. This is week 7 since my accident. Thank goodness my husband is getting overtime. It sucks that the person injured has to suffer financial...

Re: Bar risers and mirror extenders

Thanks GeeGusKahn I did order the black set of extenders. Hubby went to put them on for me since I'm not supposed to be using my right arm. He didn't know that the mirrors were left handed threads. So he wasn't able to put them on for me yet. I even asked him are you sure that they aren't left hande...

Re: Average age of PCX/Forza owners?

I'm 46 and I've had it for about 10 months as well. This is my first motorized 2 wheel vehicle. Too bad Mel, we should have traded. Other then just getting into my subdivision, most of my driving is 45 mph+. Although I'm a ways from Marietta, Ga. I'm about 40 miles west of Chicago. I love how nimble...

Re: GPS Mounted

Hey Mel I've never heard of summer helmets. My husband just bought a new mesh jacket that is a light gray instead of black and he is planing on getting a silver helmet instead of the black one he currently has. I think he is getting a Gmax with a removable chin bar and it has an option to put a brak...

Re: Anyone from the states hear of an exact release date?

People tend to forget that the Forza was a 2014 that came out in late summer of 2013, so the 2015 will come out later this summer. I bought my PCX the middle of July and it was about another month that the Forza came out here in the states.

Re: My days as a PCX owner might be numbered

That guy is more like 500 lbs, just saying. I only ride with my gear and I don't haul anything else, so I am nowhere near that 397 lbs although I thought I read the combined weight was 347 lbs. Even at that I'm no that heavy. I agree I don't think you are that big YouYou. BTW I did look at the limit...

Re: My days as a PCX owner might be numbered

Yes I do own it. For me the insurance on the pcx for full coverage is $144 a year. I'm sure if I bought just liability it would probably be about half. I know the new scooter's insurance won't be more then $300 a year since my husband's 1700 motorcycle is $380 a year. It might depend on which model ...

My days as a PCX owner might be numbered

Well I have enjoyed the little time that I've had on my PCX 150 but I think my needs have out grown the scooter. During my first long trip (140 miles) I found out that I was pushing the scooter to its limit. My husband and I went out on a trip that ended rather unpleasant for me but it made me reali...

I agree that I wouldn't waste the money to upgrade. If you are going to upgrade I would go with a larger scooter.

Re: Bar risers and mirror extenders

Thanks GeeGusKahn I really do need the mirror extenders myself. I will probably get the black ones. On the Amazon page there was even a video review from a PCX owner.
