Higher octane does not mean it burns hotter, it only means it requires more compression and/or a hotter spark to ignite. Ha! My first few tanks provided the best mileage. Tanks 3, 4, 5 all netted above 100 MPG. Driving more aggressively after I gained confidence drove mileage numbers down. Now I'm taking it easy to get my numbers back up.

Don’t expect the bike to go faster with the windshield, but you may find it easier to ride at full speed with the wind off your chest. Then if you’re always riding WOT, it will reduce MPG.

The tall Givi windshield gives excellent wind protection.
