Re: My PCX

It sounds like they are doing everything possible to discourage vehicle ownership in the UK. I thought the smog tests here were a pain, although they are phasing them out in this state because modern cars rarely fail the standards.

Re: How-To Adjust Combination Brake Cable

Ever since GN2 posted his comments about Belgium, the song "Ça plane pour moi" has been coming back daily to haunt me. Imagine my surprise to find out that it is even on our iPod from some old album I'd forgotten about. Oh my!

Re: Center stand FAIL

We park our PCX in the garage on the side stand, and it often went a few weeks (2-3) between rides due to winter weather. We never had an issue with a weak battery, so I suspect the dealer is mistaken in this case. Once or twice we put it on the trickle charger just to be safe, and it would very qui...

I think once you get past Labor Day (the first Monday in September), the crowds are much more bearable. That is the rule at Disneyland anyway, and I'd guess they are much the same.

Looks similar to the PCX and the Burgman, so of course I like the way it looks 8) . Which version would you be interested in GN2; the 350??

Re: The Youtube thread

This is something my husband sent me and I've been pondering it ever since. Is cycling in the Netherlands really like this?

Wow, I think I want the Monotracer if the price and reliability are ever reasonable. Very cool.

Re: Singapore trip - AD200

Ha! But they did have some advantages. They had a restraint system and a roll cage and were intended to be used without a helmet. Sort of an odd hybrid of a car and a scooter, and you'd have the fun of riding on two wheels without all the hassles of getting your gear on. I think it would be fun to t...

Re: Singapore trip - AD200

Very interesting. I thought that BMW had something like that, but perhaps it never went into production? I wonder how well the roof works for keeping the operator dry, and if it affects the gas mileage much? Some protection certainly could be nice in places with lots of precipitation. I definitely p...

Re: PCX 150?

$3999 on the west coast? Perhaps in California. In Washington it is the regular list price of $3399 and then any ridiculous dealer additions such as delivery charges..... less whatever you can negotiate down. It would be strange if the PCX 150 had a similar price as the 125. How would Honda justify ...

Re: PCX 150?

With the DCT, I can trust the automatic mode to shift for me, while keeping the option to change gears manually if I want to. Yes, it doesn't have a clutch, but I can live with that :) The DCT does sound attractive, other than the additional $2K to add it and ABS (at least in the US). Does anyone h...

Re: Will this windshield fit my PCX?

A potential problem with screens is that they can concentrate the airflow on a smaller area of your head and/or body and can cause unpleasant buffeting. I'd second that. I definitely noticed with Givi windscreen that more wind hit my shoulders and helmet. That said, I am much warmer than with the s...

Re: Will this windshield fit my PCX?

A few of us have Givi screens as well. I think the Ermax may look better, but I have a Givi and I it is a huge improvement over the stock windscreen. I think I paid less than $100 for it from Cli-max including shipping. Here is a link if you want to see what it looks like: http://www.cli-maxridingge...

Re: PCX 150?

It seems like there are many different reasons, but both the PCX and the NC700 share the Honda name (and reliability we hope), appear to be a good value for the money, and get relatively good gas mileage. Tuanies, I'm with you on the manual transmission for cars and automatic for scooters. I've alwa...

Re: Honda Survey

I filled it out because I wanted to, but that said I only fill out the parts that I felt like communicating. Honda asked about my occupation, income, race, marital status, height, weight, age, and education, but I declined to answer. Might be a few other blanks that I left, but those were the...

Re: PCX 150?

The NC700 series motorcycles look very nice, but I'm surprised to see so much interest on the PCX forum. It seems like the market for a 125cc scooter and a 670cc motorcycle would be very different. Besides the fact that it looks like a very capable motorcycle at a competitive price, what is the attr...

Re: Got a GoPro

A fellow Washingtonian! Woot! It would be great to see the scenery in a few weeks when Spring has finally taken hold here. I was out on the PCX yesterday running errands and it is finally warm enough that I would have taken my jacket liner out if I had a convenient place to stash it. Cool video music.
