Re: Hello & Maybe New User
Suggest learn to do the servicing yourself and it's $10-20 per service in average. You hardly even need many tools. These bikes are easy to work on and it's generally just an oil change, clean the filters and inspect the rest. I factor in a dealer check only at major service so they can check the EC...

Re: 2015 v 2012/13
I found 1 other difference to the previous PCX (and Forza). When you take the key out of ignition it automatically slides the closer across meaning nobody cam tamper with it. I seem to remember on the other bikes you needed to do this manually by hand or with the key. It's a small but smart improvem...

Re: PCX 150 speed increase options
I rode motorcycles for many years. The PCX150 is my first scooter. At present, I'm inclined to leave it stock, as it appears that most of the mods provide relatively small gains in speed. If it appears that the PCX just seems too slow, I'll probably just "upgrade" to a Forza or other more...

Re: NC750x DCT
I sooooooo wish they would bring the CTX to Oz instead of the porky and rather useless Integra (sorry, but Honda stuffed that one up, neither the best parts of a scooter nor the best parts of a motorbike... just .... too darn heavy and useless).

Last photo is a topper. Must be up there in the PCX photo-of-the-year-thread which doesn't actually exist yet (as far as i know). Welcome mate, good to see another saffer join the team. Another member from SA posted some very nice pics of a white PCX recently. Look forward to seeing more of the bike...

Re: Do you feel comfortable taking your PCX 150 on the freew
In Oz most trucks go 100-110 on a normal freeway, cars are usually slowest with dithering bastards sitting in any lane oblivious to what's happening around them. I will happily cruise on the freeway/highway at 90 kph for short stints. Just respect that everything else is faster and don't even bother...

Re: Yamaha tops PCX
All Honda need to do to build the perfect all round scooter is fit a 200cc engine in the PCX. The 125 and 150 engines are just not powerful enough.
This ^ :)
Double that ^^ ;)
Treble it :) Absolutely damn right. 200cc, maybe 20% increase in power, bit more top speed, love tha...

Re: Radial Tires on PCX.
I experimented with cross ply and radial tyres back in the day with my old Bandit 600 which came with standard cross-plys. I could still drag the pegs and nearly destroyed one just on the cross plys. The only advantage was a larger range with choices of stickier rubber on the radials. I would need t...

Re: Best Exhaust (UK)
+1 for the Yoshimuras out there. Not too loud with DB reducer in. I'm hanging out for a nice titanium Moriwaki from Webbike this time. As for the noise debate, a little extra sound in the CITY is valuable when wankers attached to their new I-DONT-HAVE-A-LIFE-PHONE strolling across the road are an is...

Re: Larger rear tire: does it change speedo?
I installed a 140/70-14 on my pcx and the speedo rea slower than real speed by 1.5-2 mph but I lost 10mpg and 5mph in top speed AND performance. The wider tire is nice I you ride below 60mph. If you ride above that don't change sizes. I know this is an old thread but.... you just nailed this debate...

Whitenoise/Iceman, I'll follow the manual next time, thanks guys for correcting me. As a bonus it'll be far easier for me to check and replace the oil. Win Win !!!

Re: Yamaha tops PCX
I think the PCX tops any of the 110-200 class bikes regardless of maker, however, I am unashamedly biased having owned 3 Honda bikes and 5 (or is it 6?, can't remember now) Honda cars.
There are always tradeoffs/pros/cons/etc and the PCX seems to do... everything pretty well.

Re: Measuring the oil level. The scooter is on the center st
Interesting. I usually measure oil level when the bike is standing vertical on 2 wheels (pretty easy even single-handed), not on the stand. I've done this for the last 8 or 9 bikes i owned. Maybe I need to re-read the PCX manual?

Re: Like these helmets?
To hark back (if I may) to the original thread, I just bought a new AGV Blade to replace my previous AGV blade Rossi rep. It's too hot for a full face here and I feel uneasy wearing a (frankly shithouse looking) Bell or AGV open face lid. I love the Blade, great comfort, removable washable lining &a...

Thanks gn2, sounds a bit better than $170 for the Honda one!
