Re: PCX for dedicated high mileage commuter.

I ride mine 95 miles p/ day. 70% highway speeds above 55mph. And I haven't had any issues. Though any incline will drastically reduce speed. From a steady 60mph to about 50mph. I'm 6'2" 220lb's

With all these miles, have any of you had any significant issues mechanically with them?

Re: First oil change for 2015 PCX150

I did as well. I changed the oil @ 600 with the dealer. Did the second change myself at 1200mi. Switched to Amsoil 10w30 Synthetic. I figure for warranty sake, I'll bring it in to the dealer at 2500mi to have them do the valve check.

Re: Valve adjustment

I know there is a search. I use it often. I was just looking at getting solutions to my driving habits and my scenario. I pulled into my garage yesterday and took my helmet off, let the scooter run and listened for any noises. It seemed like there was some irratic "clicking" noises "p...

Re: Radial Tires on PCX.

I'm interested as well. But one thing I've come to realize on this forum. It takes DAYS to get responses! I've found better luck just contacting a local Honda shop.

I must have the wrong forum. I'll have to search PCX150 forums to get some quality feedback.

Valve adjustment

Little background. I have a PCX150 with almost 1500 miles. About 80% of them are all highway riding @ 55+mph. I did my oil change at 500 miles and again at 1200 miles. When will I need to get a valve adjustment? And are there any signs that I can "hear" that will help me know when it needs...

Re: How-To: Oil Change For Honda PCX

Did my oil change yesterday. I put in 800ml (.8qt) 10w30 full synthetic Amsoil. I checked the oil after riding a couple days and the dipstick reads at the very top of the hash marks, should I let a little out? Or is it okay to run it maxed out on the hash marks?

Re: Rotella t 5 oil

PCX has a screen, not a filter. And 5k miles does seem a little long when I run it 9k+ rpm 70% of the time. Maybe 2k-3k miles with 10w30

Re: Rotella t 5 oil

Well I start riding usually around May and hang it up around Oct/Nov. I'd say the temps range between 40+ degrees in the morning (spring/fall months) to 100 degree highs in dead summer. Mornings in the Summer are usually above 60

Re: Motor Oil Question

I'd say that 10w40 would be beneficial over 10w30 just because I ride on the hwy about 80% of my commute.

Re: Motor Oil Question

Thanks for the info guys. I think in my area, I'll go with 10w40. I'm almost always on the highway, and the summers 90+ degrees. Thanks again
