It Is Hot Out There

Post by kramnala58 »

This has been the weather pattern for about 6 weeks. Good thing there is a "wind chill" affect. For this who think Celsius, that's 37°C with a "wind chill" that makes it feel like 49°C

Those Hot "feel like" temps must be brutal. Can you actually FEEL a breeze?...or is the area just too conjested (buildings, traffic, etc) where you are to catch one?

Enjoy A/C indoors (IF you can).
Our temps are just beginning to rise. We're tapping into the low 70's. My favorite.

I'd say your HOT weather calls for a "Cold Brewski" or ____ :D

Surprisingly, as my wife and I were coming home from an appointment this afternoon, there was a bit of a 'breeze' (air moving) which seemed to make it more bearable. Even the locals are talking quite a bit about how hot it is. The record for demand for power was broken today, which has also been happening about every second day during this period. It is measured in MW (mega watts ?). The demand today was 29,600 and apparently the maximum Thailand has the ability to produce is 30,000. There could be rolling black outs or brown outs imposed. That won't be a fun thing.

It's sunny in Scotland because I'm in Mallorca and it's raining here. Come Saturday it'll be normal service resumed when I get back.

I'm now on long weekend.
After sitting in the office looking out at sunshine all week, it has suddenly disappeared.

Me too. Pub garden was freezing but you have to persevere.

Dog was so cold she wanted to go back in the car

Haven't had any real heat yet. It's a beautiful cool spring in Chicago. 60's is perfect riding if you ask me but today it will be 68 so maybe open the vents on the jackets. Ride time is competing with mowing so I'll welcome some dryer weather and less growing.

We've had rain and more rain. A day here and there of sun. Yesterday was beautiful. It was still out, sunny and 75 yummy degrees.
I missed it all while sitting with Mom at the nursing home. I was anxious for today, Friday but to no avail clouds brought rain once again.
Tomorrow the rain will end. What time? The weather folks are Never sure :|
I'm wanting some New saddle time, I didn't replace it Just to Look at it!

Lovely spring weather here, except for the severe thunderstorms. Mostly highs below 90.

I'll probably look this thread up again in a month or so, when the highs start reaching 100 F.

Okay, it's time.
We've had 7 days in a row with highs of 100 F or above (here in Columbia) and it looks like we'll tie the record with an eighth day today.

Oooo nooo that's just "Too stinkin' Hot!"
Sorry DR, hope the A/C keeps cranking for you :|

The past few days here have been cloudy, wet(ish) hot and humid - and Sticky. Today our weather has taken a turn for the better:

L.I. TODAY: A bit of a better day than yesterday with breaks of sunshine. Chance for a pop up, stray shower or two. Highs near 80 degrees. Winds WNW 5-10 mph.

Ahh, Perfect for a Sunday Ride 8)
