Embarrasing: Clock adjustment

Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
have a DYLAN 150 2007 (was told same/similar as a PCX 150?) for loan, the
entire summer - so far loved every minute of it.
one embarrasing thing though: cannot seem to adjust the clock! and its is a
stupid 8 hours off ...
has a digital display odo/trip meter, underneath the clock (and supposedly the
oil change warning if needed).
and a reset button next to it - but whatever i do, it just resets the trip meter.
any quick tip or instructions? the actual owner is 12000km away, and on the
phone simply could not remember how it was done. his manual is 'somewhere' ...

Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong
Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
tks, but the FORZA seems a totally different model, with two (mode and reset) buttons, whereas mine has only a single button.

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
I just looked up that particular bike. The advertisement said it had a price of $6400. That is ridiculous! The pcx is only $3449 and it has the same engine! AND it looks better than the Dylan.

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
The Dylan is an old model, no longer available so the price is irrelevant.

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
what, please, does this (price?) have to do with setting the clock?

Its been years but if my memory serves me right I think you just press and hold the button for about 15 seconds,if that doesn't work I'll see if I can find the user manual this weekend it's buried at the back of my garage so let me know if you have sorted it out.

Hi heinz57g,
Unfortunately I have had no joy in finding the user manual, I can't even find one online which is strange as I used to just Google honda Dylan 125 owners manual and use one of the top results but this no longer works! The only thing I can recommend is maybe calling a few Honda dealers to see if they can advise, I'm sure one can help you it did used to be one of the most popular scooters of its time!

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
Hi heinz, I have a 2015 PCX. I have never met a Dylan150, but I will tell you what my owner's manual states for setting my clock. Here ya go:
"To Set the Clock" >>>> Note: You may want to print this IF helpful
1) Turn the ignition switch on.
2) With odometer displayed, press and hold the mode switch until the clock digits start "flashing."
3) Press the mode switch until the desired time is displayed.
> The time is advanced by one minute, each time the switch is pressed.
> The time is advanced by ten minutes, when the switch is pressed and held.
4) Wait for 5 seconds and press mode switch. The clock is set.
> The time can also be set by turning the ignition switch off.
Hope that helped you out, and welcome aboard!

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
buddy1976, why does that sound like ME looking for something in MY garage?
dealers, little chance, i am travelling greece and southern bulgaria at the moment, and the dealers i found have (and are interested in) newer models only - a DYLAN for them is antique.
whitenoise, tks a lot - sounds logical, will this weekend. after the first line of (3), when the diresed time is diplayed, i assume you would need to wait a few seconds before the actual setting. otherwise, it would just turn over into other modes, right?

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
I am guessing that because it is a digital clock it will reset to 12:00 when the power has been disconnected. If all else fails, disconnect the battery and connect it again at noon ... or midnight if you prefer.

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
Try looking at some of the manuals here:
http://www.hondampe.com.au/repository/o ... ooter.aspx
and there is some info for a mode + reset clock change in this (similar perhaps to the dylan) page 28
http://campaigns.hondampe.com.au/Motorc ... S250EX.pdf
basically holding the mode+reset buttons in for several seconds then using the mode + reset to change and set the hours and minutes.

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
Thank you guys, I was too lazy to read the manual but holding the button down waiting 5 seconds and pushing the button again worked.

Re: Embarrasing: Clock adjustment
I just ran into this problem with a 2015 PCX, because the clock was not set right and the dealer forgot to include the manual on delivery. When I held the button down, the clock would NOT start flashing, but it switched miles over to kilometers, which is not good because I am in the U.S.
The PCX has a single button, not two like mentioned above for the Forsa. The trick was to push the button twice, then hold it down, and the clock started flashing and I could change then time by holding the button down. Then to get back to the kilometer/miles problem, I pushed the button twice again, and then pushing it down made that change.
