Ive got a couple of Questions.
1) How can you stop the lurch when you are rolling down hill with motor in idle or cut off (ignition cut off). When you then blip the throttle the PCX lurches until the variator matches up to the speed. Any way to minimise the lurch?
2) I am going overseas for 2 weeks to UK and Singapore. Will check out accessories especially in Singapore. I am worried battery will go flat whilst I am away. Should I disconnect it?

You need to engage the clutch when you start rolling. Turn the throttle until you're going about 10 miles an hour, then you should be ok to let off and you will be coasting down the hill with the clutch still engaged. I know maddie has had some experience with this going down a hill and narrowly avoiding a disaster. If I'm wrong here, let me know because I don't start on many hills here.
And as far as your battery goes, it will probably depend on how old it is whether it will last or not... Not sure, don't have too much experience there... Don't take many vacations for over a week...

1: don't go downhill with an idle/stopped engine
2: unless your battery is as good as dead already, you'll be fine

two weeks or two months should be fine on a healthy battery. maybe more than 6 months might be an issue...

1: Centrifugal clutch disengages below 9mph indicated. Keep above this speed and there will be no lurch.
2: Not a problem, I once left mine sitting unused outside in sub zero temperatures for nearly two months and it started first push of the button.

OK I turned off the idle stop feature for the downhill part of my commute where I am in stop start traffic. Often I was stopping, then car ahead was moving just as motor stopped. Im trying to match throttle to speed instead of coasting. I probably had some habits from motorbikes as would often coast downhill and then kick in motor in 2nd gear.

Agreed, sounds like good habits to me! Unfortunately, with the CVT and clutch on the PCX, you can't engage it from moving without locking the rear wheel.
I think your solution will work, just be careful. I gave myself quite a scare once, I coasted up to speed from just gravity (no throttle) then turned the throttle to accelerate... The bike bucked, rear tire locked, then the engine caught up to the clutch and was fine. I almost needed a new pair of pants after that.
