PCX Light (LED model) for Right Hand Drive (UK) conversion

Post by snoopy »

I'm looking to import a PCX 150 from Greece into the UK, which requires a test to ensure the headlight has been converted. Does anyone know if it's settable or whether the unit must be replaced?

I think it will be OK without any modification or adjustment, but there's a seller on ebay who will know for certain because he already imports them.

Indeed I've just began talking to him. The other sticking point is the speedo which is in KPH. The regs say a sticker is unacceptable to release a comformity cert (which I take it the vehicle wont have). He says it's modified but not how, I doubt he swaps the integrated unit.

Do European bikes still have different lights?. I read a few years ago that all European lights will now have a horizontal cut off.

I'm pretty sure my PCX have flat horizontal cut off line.

EDIT: Yeah, bikes registered/manufactured after 31st Dec. 2009 can have symmetrical front lights. In Poland at least, but i doubt it is against European regulations.

EDIT2: Do you really have to convert from kph to mph ? Because 30kph is less than 30mph so it's still legal, I think. :D
