You might be OK in 34 degrees. However, if you decide to ride in zero degree weather with snow on the roads, you might end up like that guy if the road clearing machines come by. UGH! :-)

Ride safe, and let us know if you have any problems with the rings. (I have faith that you did everything right and it will run smoothly.)

ribanold,
I guess you have to do what you have to do, but I wouldn't ride in that kind of weather. It would be way too easy to end up in the ditch! I am sure you change out your tires for winter driving, but the links you gave us show that there is still a layer of ice on the roads. You have to be a real motorcycle enthusiast to ride with ice on the roads.
Currently own:

homie, you go right ahead fella n take that ride. Do tell us all about it when you get back.
Have you ever tried a pair of hand warmers in those gloves. What mitts you wearing anywho? Hah, I don't even know IF them warmers would work in Chicagoland. Don't ask about NY. Never experimented.
Temp here with 29mph wind gusts: 34F
BURR. I'm headed to the Shopping Mall to get beaten up. Cheap Thrills...I know.

My wife got heated gloves at an after holiday sale last year (like http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/fly- ... ted-gloves , but preocured locally). While they don't offer scad of protection, they sure make riding around freezing more comfortable.

Ice? Snow? Hell - salt on the road and the scoot is in for a nap.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

but please, don't delete anybody, no matter how badly they deserve deleting :)

I never ride if it is colder than 75 degrees outside.... I know it can be done, but why pick the ONE COLD DAY when every day is perfect ????

Today was 82 and sunny, tomorrow will be the same, I might go for a ride :D

I have heated liners....and wear large gauntlets over them so that my hands are still leather covered.

Average temp on today's ride was 61. The highlight of the ride--some big boulders a mile or so from the Pacific Ocean.
