After installing my Vololights, I have now been able to nip the fender. Use a pneumatic buzzer and off it came. Needs a bit more filing to get it smooth, but looks great in my opinion.

You will find a torch from your propane will give a nice high-gloss black finish to a rough cut plastic Honda tuxedo tail. Practice on the scrap piece if you didn't already toss it out... bro

Looks good! I did similar with mine long ago, the rear looks cooler in my opinion without a flap.
