1st ride after snow & a wash

Post by fish »

5" of snow & very cold temps gave way to 40's today, so took a nice ride. Watch any road areas that have been in deep shadows - to avoid ice..

Then home for a wash & rinse, blow dry with leaf blower and wipe with a soft towel .Image

I ride only very well-known roads under these conditions. Great to be on a scoot again. 7 days is too long!

I did a 20 mile circuit today. Visited friends. Let a Harley owner drive my PCX. He had a smile when he returned.
My scooter is black so there is never a need to wash and dry. Fish, you should have thought of that before buying that flashy red model. The black ones are self-cleaning.

Nope....if any color but the Ducati red would have purchased a bus pass!#:-)
Always wanted a red scooter or motorcycle.
44 miles. $.74 Wal-Mart hand warmers in palm of my silk liners.....and the odd stop to hug the.muffler!!

We just bought hand warmers to fit into out mittens. That's if the weather improves. :D

I had the Oxford Scooter Heated Grips installed on my Forza http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/oxfo ... ated-grips. Including the grips and labor, it came to about $200.

I rode it yesterday in 40C degree (raining) weather for about 5 miles (without heated gloves, I might add). It worked well in the highest temp. setting.

Next up, planning to have them installed on my PCX125.

@Mortimer - Heated grips do sound tempting. Just don't what to go though the install for them. Could be an option down the road sometime. :)
