Stock Roller size/weight

Post by willajabir »

What is the size/weight of the stock rollers?
And has anyone replaced them yet on the Forza with sliders?

I don't think that much Forza tuning has been talked about here for whatever reason. It's mostly screens and topboxes. Yawn.

Possibly Forza owners are a little older or the performance is ok

There is a good possibility in what you say. :D
"Older" folks tend to leave "scooters" alone and likely have other rides (bigger displacemnt bikes) whenever they
feel the need for speed!

I've been searching this for moons as well and just found this article:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/626 ... cc/page-10

Size appears to be 23x18 with an apparent stock weight of 21grams ? (I'd like verification on the weight). The guys in this thread have been playing with 14g and 17g weights which seems odd to me.

From what I gather this roller size is the same as the Forza 250 (someone here will possibly confirm/deny?).

On sh300 (same engine), it seems to be 19gr.

Sh 300 : 27,2 ch. (20 kW) at 8 500 tr/min , couple 2,65 daN.m at 6 000 tr/min
Forza 300 : 24,34 ch (17,9 kW) at 8250 tr/mn - 25,7 Nm at 6000 tr/mn

Are we still uncertain? I can go and buy a couple and weigh them.

I have just replaced my roller weights tonight. I fitted 6 stock weights, 23x18/6x20g. It takes 45 minutes start to finish. This includes de-dusting and cleaning. Bike now rides like new. Judder has gone and immediate response back again.

reviving an older thread....
I need to renew the drive belt on my 2014 Forza300...16500mls on clock
Suggestion was that while doing that to also renew the rollers...possibly with Dr Pulley sliders.
Reading on this forum I am slightly confused...Does anyone know what the correct weights are for the honda NSS 300 fitted rollers...and also what the equivalent Dr Pulley sliders would be. I fitted sliders on my previous 125cc SWing and they worked very well.

I appreciate that lighter/heavier rollers alter the performance but only wish to renew what the standard fit is as the bike works for me as is.
thanks for any input/information.

In surfing the Yamaha Xmax sites, I don't think that the lack of forza performance in posts, especially rollers , has to do with demographics or owner experience. I think it is simply that the PCX , because it has a top end of 71 or 72, does not it make it interstate capable, and a lot of people would like to have performance somewhere in the mid 70s, And better take off from the light because it is such a small engine. The Forza has none of those constraints, and there really is no reason to add sliders to go over 82 to 86… Or faster off the line, because you get that with a 300 cc.....Yes I'm sure someone will post here that they did the performance increase on the Forza, but the majority of people don't. Nor do they do it on the Xmax.

thanks...and sort of confirms my thoughts...bike performs as well as I want/need so renewing with stock rollers is my favourite.
Cannot however find any reference in the works manual to weight of stock roller . From above it would "seem" that 23x 18... 6 x 20gram is the stock fitted? That's the information I would like to confirm before ordering and starting the work to renew my drive belt and wondered if anyone here knew for certain. Thanks

23x18- 21 grams x 6 is the factory installed weight setup on the Forza 300 (first models...I don't know which variator or weights are used on the newest version)

Bred is in the know. 23x18- 21 gram is OEM. Are you going to check the valves now at 16,500 miles?
