Advice for better acceleration

Post by Kompact »

At least 75% of my riding is done at speeds of 0-80km/h (50mph) and I am willing to sacrifice a bit of the top end speed to gain better acceleration. Mine tops out at about 140km/h, I'd be happy to have the top speed at the 130km/h mark if I could get a worthwhile gain in acceleration.

With the little scoots it was always a game of playing with the roller weights to find the right balance. Is it the same with the Forza?

Any advice on what weights to go with and where to buy them?

Incredible acceleration with 12g Malossi weights and variator. Bike will still pull 80-85mph with them installed. Downsides, bike will take a hit to fuel economy and will also be a little louder.

I suggest to read through this topic:
http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f ... +forza+cvt
Mario has done quite lot of experimenting with different setups on his Forza.
