noise from back. sounds like a bearing
My 8 months old forza is making a sound from the back like the bearing is not so good anymore.
Anyone also has this sound?
Anyone also has this sound?
Re: noise from back. sounds like a bearing
I had nasty noises from the rear and it turned out to be transmission bearings had failed.
Take it to the dealer and get them to look at it.

Thanks....

The dealer checked it and it was the bearing. It is now replaced.

Think mine was around 20,000 miles or thereabouts, it was within two years anyway so was covered by warranty.

Re: noise from back. sounds like a bearing
Did the dealer give any reason for the failure (dadragon & gn2)? Lack of lubrication? Error in installation? Poor quality bearing? Would be nice to know if it was a isolated problem or something we all should be aware of.E. No explanation given by the dealer.
Me I think its just poor quality components.

+1 on this at 14K
Grinding sound turned out to be Bearing in Clutch assy.
Same model/brand which has now been obsoleted by Honda in exchange for an NSK one.
Same bearing on PCX and SH.

Pardon me, but this is vague.beegmouse wrote: Same model/brand which has now been obsoleted by Honda in exchange for an NSK one.

Is the same bearing on the PCX that has now been obsoleted by Honda, or is the NSK bearing on the PCX.
Does this apply to the 2013 model?
Just curious.
I found something to put here.

Re: noise from back. sounds like a bearing
The part causing the grinding is a common part between the Forza and PCX
Bearing 91002-GA7-702 (Fujikoshi)
has been obsoleted in favour of 91002-GA7-701 made by NTN (Not NSK, type O on my part)
91002-KPB-003 has not changed. This can also cause the grinding sound.
I have no idea when Honda stopped using the Fujikoshi bearing. But my Forza had one it was a 2013 model.
